Won’t be staying here again. Love the cosy vibe but here’s why my experience was terrible:
Spoke to the manager but his tone and manner makes it seem like I was the problem. Kept insisting on going to my room. Excuse me? I’m a solo traveller, I won’t want anyone coming to my room. Disappointing really and I hope the management will upgrade and train their...
Read moreThis is an absolutely lovely hotel. Like the entire property, which is beautifully and thoughtfully designed with green spaces, seating areas, and even a little goldfish pond, my room was designed with style and practicality. The room was super clean, quiet at all hours - even with neighbors next door and above. Everything worked well, and I especially liked the spacious rain-style shower and strategic placement of tile and carpet. The bed was very comfortable, and the management is generous with accessories. The hotel is conveniently located. Jakarta is a big city with scattered points of interest, but the MH Thamrin transit stop is only steps away and offers connections northward to Kota Tua and southward to Blok M. Many other attractions are within walking distance, including shopping and restaurants. Personally, I’d recommend public transit, because traffic looks pretty brutal during the day. There doesn’t seem to be a tremendous amount to do in the immediate area of the hotel, which is safe and walkable, with Jaya Pub being the main exception. This is a fun venue with food, raucous live music, and a friendly mix of regulars and travelers, no more than a five-minute walk across the street. Finally, and I think probably the most important ingredient, the people who work in this hotel, from the lovely young ladies in the restaurant to the knowledgeable desk staff, are as pleasant and accommodating a group as you could hope for. Honestly, they seem to enjoy working together, and it shows in the superior service they give. I know this comment sounds a little pompous, but I felt this place really deserved a little extra effort....

The overall aesthetic of this 4-star hotel is absolutely spot on—everything looks great and feels inviting. One of the best parts was stepping into our room right after check-in and finding the air-conditioning already on. It instantly made the room feel super cozy, which we really appreciated!
Security was also impressive—the guards were polite and very helpful throughout our stay. It’s also worth mentioning how convenient it is to have a lift from the basement for those who prefer not to take the stairs.
A big shoutout to Rezqy at the front desk! He was friendly, helpful, and added a really nice personal touch to the customer service. It made our experience feel that much more welcoming.
However, there were a couple of downsides. The first thing I noticed when using the bathroom was an unpleasant odor—similar to body odor. That was a bit off-putting and definitely something the hotel should look into.
Also, one of the receptionists, Prayuda (possibly a senior staff member), left a poor impression. He came across as unfriendly and even a bit rude—almost with a diva-like attitude. He didn’t answer our call to the front desk, and when I went down in person, I saw him there, clearly ignoring the phone. That kind of attitude doesn’t reflect well on an otherwise great customer service experience.
All in all, it was a mostly positive stay, with some standout moments—especially thanks to Rezqy—but it could be even better with some attention to detail in cleanliness and...
