2nd time posting this (i think they removed my post)
Not a great place to stay. With terrible sarcastic response, further evidence of bad service. Other reviews do also resonate with some of the issues specified. Unfortunately didn't manage to try their pool given our leave. Attaching pictures now to show the poor lighting during the day + fan that is only minutes from falling. Letting the public decide here with full transparency.
--- their response followed by mine ---- BoHo: For starters we have removed TVs since you reviewed us because frankly our discerning clients have more interesting ways of relaxing than to come here to watch TV!
Response: it was 8pm and it was raining, way to assume the circumstances, and you didn't even address the point of service? Pfft. Talk about convenient ignorance.
BoHo: And for the 7 storey climb let me just tell you this: my mom celebrated her 75th birthday down at Lucky Fish Lounge. You may want to ask yourself how come at your relatively young age you can't handle the Bingin beach stairs:) Wishing you better fitness and a more interesting lifestyle!
Response: good for your 75 year old mom. But accusing ones fitness is not very graceful of a business, just as I said, service of this place is trash. I think you proved this point very well.
---- original review ---
Location isn't great, it's somewhat near to the beach but a 7 story climb, so you're mostly tired out from any trip to the beach. Although views when there are pretty neat. Hotel itself is hard to get to with few amenities near by. Great place if you'd like to just bum around. Service is much to be desired. After a long trip there, no one really wants to be accused or held back because of administrative issues. Just make us comfortable while you get stuff sorted. Besides, if anyone manages to find the place, it sure as hell isn't by accident, seeing as how remote it is. Room we got was very poorly lit. TV channels despite it being Sat TV, has literally no working channels. Bathroom was actually not too bad, but design elements could use help. Some levers were like 2.5m high for instance, taps were unlabelled hot or cold and salt water ran through it. Probably one of the poorest places I've stayed at through my countless trips to Bali over the past 5 years. If you'd like to stay here, be prepared to be very secluded, and stuck in what feels like a cave to me. We are cutting short our booking from 3 nights to 1. That's our level of...
Read moreAdditional to below review - The owner reached out directly to us and apologized for the issues. As he was not aware this had happened, he offered a refund on the second night charge which was appreciated. Original Review The accommodation and room seemed nice on check in and in the photos. We had booked for 3 nights. After our first night we found too many problems. The shower temperature is inconsistent and the mixer tap old and had to work. The ceiling fan did not create any air flow and the AC struggled to cool (plus was loud due to its age). The refrigerator is also old and as such creates a constant loud hum. The shower drain sometimes smelt bad enough that my wife did not want to be in there to do her make up. Our room had a very large window/wall which was directly in front of the reception and common area, the blinds were not block out so our room was very bright at night with the common area lights on. Lastly the bed was rock hard and the pillows also extremely firm. After our first night we sought other accommodation during the day and came back in the afternoon to relocate, the staff were helpful in cancelling our booking however did not offer any compensation for our issues and charged us for a second night because we did not check out before their check out time. I understand these issues may be hard to circumvent in the current global crisis, however, also feel the price being charged too high considering the many faults and was disappointed by the lack of understanding when charging for a...
Read moreThis hotel is fine if you don’t book the superior room! You can get hotels just as nice in the area for a better price though. We really wanted to love this place but unfortunately we had to cut our 4 night stay down to 1 night and find a new place to stay. We booked the superior room but the sewage smell was so bad we couldn’t stay in the room even one night. We tried to cover the drain from the smell but it was too much even then. The rooms are very dated, the aircon was also leaking in the superior room and there were bugs everywhere due to holes in the roof and door. We had our own mosquito net so we put this up but the smell got too much for us. Eventually they moved us to a deluxe room for one night which was lovely and would say this room is pleasant to stay in. Initially we were told we would have to pay to be upgraded which we weren’t too pleased about as it wasn’t really our choice to move as the room was impossible to stay in, but the next morning they agreed to honour the price of the initial booked room. This was only available for one night so we had no choice but to move hotels. I must add the woman on reception was sincere and apologetic and very empathetic towards our situation. She was lovely! I can’t help but feel this wasn’t the first time they’ve had this issue. The superior room really needs sorting rather than masking with toxic...
