Salty Coffee Bali — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

Outdoor patio is the vibe. And I followed my heart and ordered the top listed item without even ready the rest of the menu.

First the matcha and we both received our salty waffle which is, well, a waffle with the curious addition of avocado, salmon, poached egg, and salty cream.

Irregardless of the “salty” name I was shocked, as an American, that there was no syrup when the dishes arrived at our table.

Naturally, I waited a while for them to notice their mistake until I couldn’t stand it any longer and went to the bar asking for our syrups. 😅

They let me know that isn’t included BUT they made an exception and hooked me up with a cute little carafe of syrup goodness and all was right in the world.

You might think it a strange combination of sweet and savory and surfy waffle. But I assure you, it was divine.

Funky pasta: not al-dente, overcooked, tomatosauce is sweet, chicken breast has no taste and is dry; not funky at all Juice "Glow": watery, no taste of vegetable / fruits; you will definitly not get any vitamines of this drink - so no glow for you The price doesnt match with the quality and taste. It's overpriced for the quality / taste they offered.

Service: the staff are friendly - but not that kind of friendly which I saw in other area of Bali. It's a kind of "I have to be friendly 'cause it's my job"

Ambiente: it's ok. Many young people - mostly "wanna be influencer / hipster". To be blunt - people who still dont develop good taste. Therefore the good reviews - I assume.

We came here for breakfast and left quite disappointed. After placing our initial order, we were told they were out of waffles, which made up nearly half the breakfast menu. We spent another 5 minutes choosing alternatives, only to find out several other items were also unavailable. About 10 minutes later, the waiter informed us they didn’t have the sauce for the eggs Benedict. When the food finally arrived, the eggs were overcooked and, as expected, served without the sauce. The pineapple juice wasn’t fresh. The timing of the meal was also poorly managed, with the plates arriving very spread out. On the positive side, the coffee and hot chocolate were both good.
