Barrels Steakhouse — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

This was my second visit here and I must say last one. I had big stomach problems next day. I ordered medium, but got rare, which really did not do good to me. But this might be coinsidence, so this was not the shock we got there. Actually the shock was the attitude of our waiter, probably instructed from management. It was my birthday day and I want to celebrate with my mom with good food and few drinks.The food (steak) I already described, might be bad choice. As for drinks, when waiter asked us, we ordered water and 2 caipirinhas. We got it. Then the food was served and we have to wait for waiter (even we were alone in whole resto) till he came pick up the dishes. Then we asked about second drinks. And we were told we cannot get another one, they only serve with meals!!!! What kind of business are you guys running that you can judge or limit me with drinks? In one caipirinha is maybe half of shot, so I was absolute sober as my mom did. And we came with gojek, so we behaved absolutely responsible. So you dare to tell me, I can have only one drink? Yeah! Way to go to profitable business! After my complain waiter said, he will GO ASK INSIDE, if we can have one more drink. And came with yes, we can get one more. How generous! So we drank it, paid and left. And never will get back again. Thank you for spoiled birthday celebration! I will mention your attitude everytime somebody asked me for...

Ridiculous price for ridiculous service. We came as a group of 6, but the orders weren't served at the same time. One person had finished eating while 2 others were still waiting. I ordered a chicken dish, which was still raw inside and bloodied red. I had to wave like 10 times to call a waiter/waitress because nobody was paying attention. Then had to wait another hour for them to re-cook my dish. Even before the chicken was done, everyone in our group had finished eating, so I had to ask for take away.

Waited for nearly 2 hours, paid 300k and still with empty stomach!

When I addressed this to the waitress, I received no answer. Just silence, no empathy, no apologies from the kitchen. Later she came back and offered a complimentary tiny dessert. Nice try after we complained, but...

Not sure what's going on here. There seems to be good reviews and bad. I've had a bad one! Price of steaks is high, and like high for Australia let alone bali. Service is pretty rubbish. I was the only person in the restaurant on Saturday night at 6pm, but felt as if I had been forgotten about. I wanted to sit inside but wasn't allowed as the inside had been fully booked. I say again, I was the only person there for the duration of the meal. I work in hospo and don't really like giving bad reviews. I think most of the good reviews are from people staying at the 5* resort behind who are used to extortionate prices.

I've been here a good half hour, just waiting on my steak. I've asked for it rare so hopefully they have had enough time...
