My solo stay there was very enjoyable. There is no view in this hotel. My room had a balcony which looked out to Waterbom Bali next door. It can be quite noisy during the afternoon as you can hear the water and the kids.
I was thankful for my upgraded room where I got to stay in the Amnaya Suite which is nice for couples. It came with a huge bathtub which is meant for two which is situated right in your room. A curtain is built to close the bathroom section off for some privacy. There is a separate shower stall and toilet on the other end within this section.
BATHROOM The bathtub came with a tray and bath salts which I am grateful for. Some hotels give you tubs but no bath salts. This one was thoughtful and made sense and for that I am grateful. It also came with bath gel which I did not find to be very soapy or bubbly for the bath.
The shower came with a rain shower and essentials are provided in a sustainable way. The hotel provides you with toothbrush, mouth wash, cotton pads, shower cap, all tucked away in a container below the sink.
BED The bed was - I think - the best bed I ever slept in. It was a King size bed with a mattress that gave me such a wonderful sleep without any aches of any kind. The pillows were plush and long to fit the King size bed. I thoroughly enjoyed my sleep.
ROOM AMENITIES There was also tea and coffee provided though strangely the housekeeping never replenished but I am sure you can ask for it. Water was replenished daily. There is also a mini fridge to chill your drinks and a nice kettle is provided.
The hotel does not provide comfy room slippers. Instead you get a pair of re-used rubber slippers for pool usage. The room experience would have been perfect had they provided soft bathroom slippers along with a plush bathrobe instead of a thin yukata.
BREAKFAST I applaud the hotel for its breakfast which came with my booking. They ensured their breakfast was well presented. More details in my other review on the restaurant. Ask for their homemade jam for your toast as it is really good!
POOL The pool is quite small and another drawback to this hotel is the lack of sun at the pool. You get some sun but not all unobstructed because of the pool's position in the middle of the hotel surrounded by lots of trees and building. There are also very few sun chairs that are exposed to the sun without obstruction.
LOCATION The hotel is located very central near Discovery Mall. You can walk 10 min to Kuta central. I managed to walk all the way to the other fancier Beachwalk Shopping Center. There are some dining options outside the hotel with a small restaurant just steps away in the next hotel serving local cuisine. The restaurant in Amnaya is also an option for dining since the price does not differ much from the ones outside as Kuta is generally an expensive area for dining. My grab ride from the airport was about 10-15min and cost me 95300IDR (with a small coupon discount) but strangely cost me 30900DR on my return trip to the airport.
CUSTOMER SERVICE This hotel prides itself in its customer experience as a top priority. This is evident in the way you are always greeted warmly by the staff no matter where you are. The housekeeping staff also leaves you a note in the room to tell you to write a positive review if you are satisfied. And I also think the staff are happy working there because you can feel it when they greet you with a smile.
OTHERS The hotel offers afternoon tea free at 4pm to 5pm. There is a small gym, lovely spa and a cooling nice library room you can sit and wait for your taxi or just read a book or just hang around. A computer is also there for you to surf internet. Wifi is free in this hotel.
CONCLUSION All in all, Amnaya Kuta provided me with an enjoyable stay - a chance to rejuvenate myself on this solo trip. BTW there is no funky smell in the room or toilet - unlike many hotels I read about. So it is really not easy to find a perfect hotel that ticks all the boxes. Prioritise what you look for in a Bali hotel and...
Read moreLocated in a quiet area within a few minutes’ walking distance from Kuta’s Discovery Mall, the Amnaya Resort is very centrally placed. My wife and I had booked a Deluxe Double room. The rooms are very large, comfortable and well lit. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well laid out. Ours had separate sections for the shower and the toilet, with a large washbasin in the middle. Amenities are provided, including a very good pair of rubber slippers which was great for daily use in-room. The Wifi was good and fast. However, for some reason I find hard to understand, it was unsecured as no password was required to access it. The room came with a spacious balcony, with 2 chairs and a coffee table plus a lounging area with mattress and pillow covers. Very comfortable for taking in the fresh air and having a cup of tea or coffee anytime of the day. Our room was outward facing and provided us with beautiful views of the sunrise, when it wasn’t too cloudy. There are also inward facing rooms which have a view of the pool located at ground level but we preferred a room with an outward facing view. The room also has a desk with chair, tea & coffee facilities and a television. But I found it so much more pleasant to sit on the balcony and enjoy the ambience, especially on the days we had no day trips planned. The entire ambience especially in the lobby and restaurant at ground level, feels open and spacious because it was literally just that – open and very spacious. But it was the service that we found to be excellent. We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and during that time we had an issue with the telephone and the toilet pot, both of which were resolved very quickly. And then there was the follow up from a responsible staff member asking if the issue had been resolved to our satisfaction. The staff at the lobby were very polite and willing to support. We dealt a lot with Bella over key card, taxi bookings, late check out and found her service and support impeccable. We also had daily breakfast at their in-house restaurant Sukun, located at Ground level, adjacent to the pool. The ambience was very pleasing and also calming and the serving staff excellent. There were so many staff members with whom we had regular interaction on an almost daily basis during our stay there, as more than one would be involved in serving you the wonderful breakfast that they provide. To name a few, Diah, Sopya, Putri, Wirya, Eka and few whose names I forget, including those in charge of taking orders for our many room service requests. The restaurant is open air and so we preferred a seat close to a ceiling fan, of which they had many. Although we spent a lot of time eating at the hotel, there are plenty of good restaurants on the main street just a short walk from the hotel, catering to Indonesian, Western and even Indian cuisine. The Beach is a short walk away and the easiest way is through Discovery Mall, which leads you to a paved path alongside the waterfront. Continuing down this path (North, to the right) leads you straight to Kuta beach. Although this could be crowded in the evenings, there are areas on the beach which are not quite as crowded. Great for taking a leisurely stroll along the waterline, feeling the waves gently lapping at your feet and watching the lovely sunset. In short, an ideally placed hotel with just the right ambience and excellent service standards for a very...

Our stay at Amnaya Resort Kuta was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that set the tone for a truly memorable experience.
The ambience of the resort is calm, elegant, and tastefully designed. The interiors reflect a perfect blend of traditional Balinese aesthetics with modern comfort. Every corner of the property is beautifully maintained, and the lush greenery adds to the peaceful atmosphere—an oasis right in the heart of bustling Kuta.
We stayed in one of their spacious rooms, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was immaculately clean, well-furnished, and had thoughtful touches that made us feel pampered—right from the aromatic welcome towel and drink to the daily turn-down service with little notes and treats. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the garden added a relaxing touch.
The staff at Amnaya deserve a special mention. They are some of the most polite, attentive, and helpful people we’ve encountered in all our travels. Every interaction—from reception to housekeeping to the restaurant team—was met with sincere care and professionalism.
Speaking of food, the breakfast at Sukun Restaurant (within the resort) was a highlight! With a wide range of options and à la carte selections, each dish was deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. The attention to quality and detail was evident in every bite. We also had dinner here a few times and loved the authentic flavors and serene setting.
The location of the resort is ideal—tucked away enough to be quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of Discovery Mall, the beach, and several great restaurants and cafes.
Amnaya Resort truly goes above and beyond to make their guests feel special. It’s rare to find a property that combines luxury, comfort, and heartfelt service so seamlessly.
We left with beautiful memories and a strong desire to return. If you’re visiting Bali and looking for an exceptional place to stay in Kuta, Amnaya Resort should be at the top of your list.
Highly recommended and a heartfelt thank you to the entire Amnaya team for making our stay...
