Maizuru Sushi Bali - Discovery Mall — Restaurant in Kuta

During our 10-day stay in Kuta, we stumbled upon a hidden gem: Maizuru Sushi in Discovery Mall. From the moment we spotted it, we couldn’t resist giving it a try. My partner and I are huge sushi lovers, but his younger brother had never tried it and was hesitant. Yet, from the very first step inside, Maizuru swept us off our feet! The staff welcomed us so warmly, the ambiance was serene with soft, zen music, and the decor—complete with cherry blossoms—was simply mesmerizing.

The menu was vast, with so many enticing choices that we found ourselves struggling to decide! When our food arrived, it was like a masterpiece on each plate—absolutely stunning presentation and aromas that made us dive right in. And the taste? Impeccable! Each bite felt like it was crafted with love, and I couldn’t help but turn to my partner to say, “This is truly something special.” The pride and passion that the chefs and staff put into each dish is so evident.

As for my partner’s younger brother? He tried sushi for the first time here—and Maizuru turned him into an instant fan! We ended up dining here six or seven times out of the ten days we spent in Kuta because we simply couldn’t get enough! Every visit brought something new to try, and every dish was flawless. I genuinely wish we had a Maizuru Sushi in Australia—nothing back home can compare to this place!

We’ve even talked about planning another trip to Kuta just to dine here again because it was such an incredible experience. If you’re even thinking about dining at Maizuru, do yourself a favor and go! I come here for the second time, the first time I didn't like it very much, the second time I'll describe in detail now: The service is excellent, I liked it, they bring everything you need very quickly and carefully, the waiter this time watched if you needed something (last time the girls didn't do this, it was a bit arrogant) So a lot of respect to the guy, he really tries very hard.

About the food: Sushi set 125k. Delicious. The fish is fresh, the amount of fish is very good. I really liked the set.

Noodles. 65k. Total crap. These are just instant noodles with TWO FUCKING SHRIMP😂😂😂 Such dishes really spoil the overall impression of the establishment, that's why only 2 stars.

Dessert with Matcha. 30k. Super, no comments, I highly recommend trying it if you're here.

Just found this Japanese restaurant when scrolling through ig. Turns out it just opened 5 days ago, and it is very nice. All the ingredients are fresh, which is the main key for good Japanese food 😊 Tried the bara chirashi, ikura gunkan, special cawan mushi, egg boat with crab meat, chuka idako gunkan, uni gunkan, otoro sashimi, tofu miso soup, and mapo tofu ramen 😁😍 And not one of it fail 🫰☺️ Even the uni is very fresh, not a hint of fishy smell.
