Warung Segara — Restaurant in Kuta

Our Juice and milkshake were really good and decently priced and the staff was friendly. The food however... We ordered two dishes for dinner at 35K each (fish skewers and fried calamari), see picture to see the size of the portion that arrived. The fish skewers were no bigger than the calamari, no vegetables or rice to go with it. There must have been 40grams of squid on that plate. I would suggest the management to redo their menu. If it's meant as an appetizer, then mark it as such, not as a dish. It's really not nice to wait 20 minutes for your meal to realise that it's not a meal at all but 6 thin calamari rings on a weathered lettuce slice

Otherwise the taste was really nice! Even though it was a bad experience overall, I would still recommend to eat there if you can make sure you're getting a full plate and not...

I arrived at Denpasar airport with a two-hour delay (thanks again Lion Air) so after check-in at my hotel I went looking for some food. Stumbled upon this joint. Saw quite a few people dining here, both local and foreign. Had a brief look at their menu, which contained dishes ranging from pizza and pasta to mie goreng. I needed something good, but light, so I ordered the soto ayam and a portion of sate ayam. My two favorite dishes! The food came quickly. This soto version was quite dark, but did contain almost every ingredient that I would include myself. It was just a tad too salty, which I solved by adding some lemon juice drops. First and last time I will go there. Terrible food and dishonest staff. Food was bland and tasteless. When I went to pay the bill the waitress tried to overcharge me! I asked to see the bill and when she showed me I realized she was trying to charge me for the table of 8 people sitting next to me. Maybe this is how they increase their profits by ripping off customers. Check your bill if you go there but better...
