Villa Kalimaya Seminyak — Hotel in Kuta

This was the second time both couples had stayed here. First time amazing, villa manager was Lena nothing was a problem and everything was perfect. This time a new manager was appointed. From the moment we arrived we noticed how rundown the villa was. The safes had been stolen and new ones would be arriving. Numerous locks on the windows were broken, ceiling fans dirty. Nothing was the same this time unfortunately. Pool was constantly dirty. Water feature which blocks out noise works then stops, spa not working then worked then stopped.|Ceiling fan in cabana did not work at all. We were given 1 set of keys from manager, so when anything needed to be done inside the villa we had to let them in, except I found another set of keys in a cupboard. New safe arrived ours was screwed into the wall, the other safe for upstairs did not arrived until another day, then we found out theirs was not screwed into the cupboard. Yet again had to wait around for this to be fixed. We had 3 DVD players in villa, not one of them worked. Therefore with being there for Nyepi Day which we were looking forward to the celebrations in the street following by silent day. We were organised we had a restaurant make us some meals and we placed them in the fridge. Unfortunately at 1.30pm on Nyepi day our power died. Therefore the fridge was off, filtered water machine off no air conditioner etc. We contacted manager who said nobody could come and fix it until the next morning. Therefore one air conditioner worked in the bathroom that was the only thing. Nothing worked we went to bed with a tiny bit of air coming out of the bathroom. I need air conditioner to breath in the night therefore I ended up sleeping in the bathroom. At 9am the next morning we contacted manager and she informed us the electrician is on his way. At 12pm on the day we were flying out and had paid for late checkout, I asked again where is the electrician she informed me he wouldn't be here today. Surely, they could have gotten another electrician to fix the issue. Thank goodness we were next door to Seminyak Village as we could charge our phones and get our hair washed. I also checked with manager as to what time our driver would be picking us up for the airport, she said she didn't know. We contacted the travel company in Australia and they contacted our driver and gave us the time. Upon leaving the villa, the manager was there to say goodbye, yet she said she didn't know when they would be arriving. Wilda was lovely and helpful with some of our issues. and Ollie the little dog was a delight to see every morning. We have since been given 2 free nights which we will not take. As this holiday cost us just under 10K and I also had to pay for care for my mother at home for 3 weeks and put the dog into a boarding home also. Finally would I return to this villa, I love this villa so much, the location is perfect and the previous manager Lena made it even better, the answer is no I will not be returning with the current manager working there. Our family stayed in the Villa Kalimaya III last week and it was nothing short of ideal!!|This is truly a luxury residence with all the features you would expect and more..|Great pool, whirlpool, Sauna and full outdoor kitchen.|Oh, by the way, there is a full service staff available 24 hours..breakfast cook, dinner chef, house man, cleaning staff along with pool/gardening personnel.|This is no exaggeration! They will cook anything you want and you simply pay nominal grocery costs..|Best yet, these people invite you in like family treating our kids with great care and attention along with their mother and father!|I got very lucky finding this place and wish someone would just call it out like I am because it is a no brainer..|Hotel lodging would have been more and lacked 90% of the services..|The location is right in the heart of Seminyak with plenty of action but no party all night scenes..|There is more than enough to do from a food and beverage scenario to please anyone including more robust clubs but also great restaurants as well.|Back to the Kalimaya..|I must name several staff members but really all made it a memorable experience as they act as a team!|Lina is the house manager and the team, Alan, Alit, Putu, and Julie were delightful..|I really could go on and on but just trust me, it is unbeatable..|Ok, last thing, there is a membership that the house retains for a day beach club called FINNS..super day there with great views and best pool..all at major discounted rates because of the membership.|YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!|Check out the Kalimaya online for pics..all very...

I stayed at Kalimaya for 4 nights with two friends. It was probably the best villa I have experienced in my various holidays to Bali.

Starting with the villa itself - fantastic. The rooms and bathrooms are big, with excellent ACs and the ground floor room even has an outdoor bathroom. The pool is great size, with sunbeds and an outdoor shower. There's even a sauna!

Great living room speaker setup too, and smart TVs in every room. Kitchen was fine. Also you hardly hear any road noise.

Muzhar - the supervisor - checked in on us everyday, provided us with extras like charging adapters and an iron etc. The cleaning staff were also very friendly, and flexible with their cleaning timings. Muzhar also sorted out a technician ASAP when we faced a small issue at the villa.

The price we paid for late October was excellent as well. So it doesn't bust the budget, but you'll probably want to come here with friends and family since it's so big.

The location is unreal. Located right behind Seminyak Village mall, you can get a fresh cup of coffee, a tart etc in the morning and it's best to book your Grab from the mall. All the popular day clubs like Motel Mexicola, La Favela and beach clubs like Ku De Ta and Potato Head are a 10-15 min walk away. Chandi, an excellent restaurant, is about the same. All night supermarkets everywhere and even beer delivery places. Excellent location.
