I stayed at the Eastin Ashta Canggu for 5 weeks. I unfortunately left 3 weeks early to go to another hotel because of the level of noise and construction sites around. The hotel in itself is quite nice, the rooms are very large and airy and the common areas are nicely decorated. Housekeeping does a fantastic job at keeping it clean, thanks to supervisor Adi, who always helped when needed. 5 stars to him! There are no bugs in the room (except from a few flies that came out of the floor drains) and the hotel sprays for mosquitoes regularly. Worth noting: there's isn't much a difference between the Deluxe and Executive Deluxe rooms. Just size. For one or two people the Deluxe Executive is very big but I can see that people with children or sporting equipment would appreciate the extra space. I had asked for a room facing the sunset and that was truly the highlight of my stay! The staff is also keen to help, although most of their reception staff don't proficiently understand English. It was hard to ask for what I needed at times. Also the breakfast is generous, food is fresh, there's a rotation of dishes every day and the staff is very nice. I was cheerfully greeted every morning. Shoutout to Resita who I missed on her days off! The pool area is wonderful and I enjoyed sitting in the bean bags under an umbrella for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately after that, the hotel management chose to renovate the entire pool area and it became really unpleasant to be around the pool. Waiting for peak season is really poor timing on their part, knowing that they barely had any guests for quite some time. Where this hotel lacks is soundproofing. It's actually terrible. There are two construction sites right next to the hotel - one recently started so it'll go on for a year or two at least, often starting at 07:00 until 23:00 some days. It was non stop. Also the doors of the rooms somehow do not have stopping mechanisms and because of the open air concept of the hotel, they SLAM shut. You hear them like explosions at every hour of the day and night. Also there's no soundproofing between rooms or floors, so you'll hear every footstep your upstairs neighbors make and hear conversations, music and televisions from other rooms next to yours. I was fortunately moved to the top floor for the last 3 weeks of my stay so at least no more kids running above my bed at 05:30 in the morning. There are also party people who will come back drunk in the middle of the night and scream in the hallways and ring their doorbells for fun. You'll hear it all. And there is a club who blasts music nearby from 22:00 until 03:00 every Friday and Saturday nights. It's so loud, you'll feel the beats in your bed. Basically I did not get a good restful night of sleep my entire 5-week stay there. But if you don't mind the noise, or only need a quick 2-3 nights stay, then I'd still recommend this hotel for the closeness to the beach and many restaurants, as well as the clean rooms and generous buffet breakfast. Edit following the hotel's response to this review: Never were guests informed of access to another hotel's pool! The letter left in the room to explain repairs only offered 20% on non alcoholic drinks at the pool's bar. I also expressed my discontent about said repairs directly to both the restaurant staff and reception staff multiple times and was never told I could access another hotel's pool. It was also the subject of discussions with other guests in the hotel and no one was offered such courtesy. But if indeed there was another pool accessible during renovations, then management did not communicate it to many of their guests.

Update: We are back almost a year later and we still love this place very much! However, there are some changes that I’d like to mention during this trip so far! We stayed for 5 nights and upon check in, we were given a unique QR code to install the Eastin App. On the app, we were able to order room service, housekeeping and look out for other events at the hotel etc. This is super amazing and would benefit you if you didn’t like making phone calls for requests. As usual, the service was amazing, I had a birthday celebration surprise planned during this trip for my partner and they carried out the plan seamlessly. When my partner fell sick, they were really warm and offered to have some breakfast fruits delivered to our hotel room. The staff there were always smiling and greeting us, and we certainly love the hospitality here. However, we noticed that we were no longer able to order Gojek or Grabs to the hotel to bring us out at certain times. It seems that the Local taxi mafias have arrived in canggu and blocked out certain areas where online taxis can and cannot pick up passengers. We had to walk to Garden Canggu (estimated 300m) away from the hotel to get on our Gojek. However, I was still able to get some bike rides without issues. Rides to the airport from Eastin seem to be unaffected as well. As Canggu seem to be undergoing lots of development, there are construction works going on nearby and the hotel provided ear plugs for that. However, construction only happened in the day and did not affect us at all, unless you were sleeping in. Overall, we had an amazing time with attentive staff and a lovely place once again. We hope to be back again in future! We stayed for 5 nights. Spacious room. Very welcoming staff on our first day in, had a great time chatting with them. Great location to get to many places in Canggu -- food, money changers and more food! Housekeeping did a really good job daily. The facilities were well maintained. Since we were there for awhile, we wanted to dry our swimsuits and it was really nice that the room had plenty of hangers and our balcony had a bar for us to hang a few items. We also rented a scooter from them for a day, definitely worth it to get around Canggu. We loved everything about this place and couldn't bear to leave. Will definitely be back!

Our family group of 21 persons (age ranges from 3 - 76!) spent a weekend getaway at the amazing Eastin Ashta recently. Located in the fast-developing area of Canggu, the hotel has easy access to the beach, mini-markets, shops, and restaurants. But what is outstanding about Eastin Ashta is their spacious and tastefully furnished guestrooms. (I'm a season traveler, and I can say that It's not easy to find 3 - 4 stars hotels using Grohe bathroom accessories! 😁) And the landscaping around the hotel is minimalist-designed and well kept. Simply beautiful. But a well-designed hotel is only a hotel. But when a hotel is managed by a group of dedicated and friendly staff, the hotel becomes 'home'. Throughout our stay, we were well taken care of by the efficient and attentive staff. Shout out goes to Kasih, Yogi, Adi, May, Rixby, Riza, and many others. Even the manager, Pak Jari, drop by to check on us to make sure everything is fine. The kids enjoyed special activities organized by the management (like the foam party at the pool), while the seniors just chilled and enjoy the sumptuous breakfast spread by the pool side. WiFi is great too. Many of the reviewers here mentioned about the loud music coming from Desa Kitsune, which may affect guests from Eastin. That is true, but it is important to state that the dance party next door only happens on specific days. Still, it's good to know that the hotel is having ongoing conversation with the local authorities and Kitsune to work out a solution. For some of us in the group, we decided that since we can't beat the 'noise', we might as well join in the party! 😂🍻 And Kitsune provides free entry to all Eastin guests! For guests who are uncomfortable with the music from next door, Eastin does take helpful actions to make sure that all guests can get a good night sleep. My group had an excellent 5D4N getaway in Eastin Ashta Bali. We hope to return again, and highly recommend this hotel to holiday makers visiting to this part of the enchanting island. Thanks for reading! ❤️🏝️

We are family of 4 with two teenagers, both 13. Another family’s friend, mom and son traveling with us as well. So happy with my choice with Eastin . Was debating between Eastin and other private villas. Decided on Eastin as security, safety, location to beach is our top priority . Our surf lesson start as early as 6.30 and we might have afternoon session as well. We surfed for 5 days and the children might need to walk back and forth from beach on their own so distance and route is important. We are totally comfortable letting them walked back and forth on these road to batu bolong as only take 8 minutes to their beginner surf site. If other surf site, it might take only 3 minutes walk. Breakfast 6.30-11.00 am. Love the long duration as we can go after the surf or even take a long shower and have it just at 10.30 for brunch. Many days the kids are so tired after the surf and we just dine in the restaurant for lunch or dinner. The restaurant food are great and good price too- to my children standard of pizza, pasta, burgers and steak. While walking on corridors. I saw construction across, however heard no sound at all- before I read on other reviews on noisy construction but amazing no sound in my room. Rooms are clean, Shower water pressure is great, bed and pillow meet our standard, breakfast spread good but not great. To note, their sound proofing are not that great, you can hear next door walking but very bearable for us - not a deal breaker. Staff are always smiley and helpful. Give us good recommendation of nearby restaurants. We don’t need them on any other recommendation as have done the homework on ourselves. Pool and gym are ok . Hotel super close to all the restaurants, cafes and shopping area. After 5 nights we moved out to beachfront villa at another area just to have different vibes so Eastin just need to meet my needs for those 5 nights - close to surf site, safety, cleanliness, quiet , comfortable bed/ pillow , no complaint at all. Oh yes, we have two interconnecting deluxe room ( connected at the balcony 😂) , the open style room are of good size. On second day we moved to their only 2 bedroom apartment; super huge apartment with kitchen but fortunately with no windows in the living room. But will still opt for this as will prefer family to stay together in the apartment. We didn’t cook as don’t see the need to do so in Bali and buying fresh groceries is not that easy around. Good and reasonable priced restaurant are just around the corner. Our friends had a junior suite , but personally I don’t really like it as as the price is way higher than the deluxe room but size wise is more or less the same but divided into two different area , so the entire suite feel stuffy than the open style deluxe room. I will choose the junior if only hubby need to have the separated area for conference meeting if not deluxe room is definitely a...

4 key points: Location, Food, Room, and service

Location: The biggest win for this hotel is the location. We LOVED how we were so close to literally everything we needed! Supermarket ✅ Massage center ✅ cafes (lots and lots of them!!) ✅ beach ✅ money exchange ✅ Market place (love anchor) ✅ pharmacy ✅ literally anything and everything you could imagine you’d need is a few steps away. There was always something to do every night because of how close everything was to us. And the best part? We didn’t hear any disturbances from surrounding places in the hotel (or even the neighboring rooms) although there was construction right outside the hotel, we didn’t pay any attention to it because it only happened during the day, which at that point you’re not even in the room, so it was as if it never existed to us. It’s also important to mention that this hotel looked the cleanest and most appealing on the road between all other hotels.

Food: the food at the hotel was great! We tried the falafel burger, margarita pizza, potato wedges, and their breakfast buffet. All delicious and great quality! Even their coffee served at breakfast was great. The only downside I would say is they don’t really have Halal options so if you’re Muslim, you would need to stick to seafood/vegetarian options. Beef/chicken isn’t halal at the hotel. But irrespective, the food was delicious, so I was still satisfied!

Room: The room is spacious enough for 3 people (we had an extra bed added in our room, but the extra bed isn’t very comfortable) but what was nice about the room was the space, had a balcony for us to dry our swimsuits, and the bathroom is separated from the shower. The sink is inside the room, and sometimes it was a bit inconvenient having it placed in the room because if someone was already asleep and we needed to brush our teeth or wash our hands, it made some noise. However, even still, it didn’t bother us so much and we still loved our room! Cleanliness was fabulous! We didn’t find any insects or mosquitos in our room. The AC was FANTASTIC! We had it set at 21 degrees with LOW fan (lowest option of 3) and we still froze at night! Loved that! The bathroom also has a bidet (to was your behinds :p) Shower had both heat and cold temperatures, which was great. Room came with 3 bathrobes, and a cute little beach bag too!

Service: staff are so friendly and welcoming! They were also very accommodating to our needs and always had smiles on their faces.

Overall, we absolutely loved our stay in Eastin Ashta and (without thinking twice) I would book there again if I ever visit canggu in the future. 10/10...
