Flamboyant Villa Ubud — Hotel in Pulau Bali

We came to Flamboyant in the end of September planning to stay there one month. We were welcomed with a beautiful room, delicious breakfast and what’s most important - amazingly helpful and nice staff. Guys are such nice people, we became friends and this place was more like home than a place to stay for us. We liked it so much that in the end we left after 3 months!

Villa itself has a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by a colourful garden. The neighbourhood is calm, silent, but in the same time there’s everything you need in walking distance- warungs, grocery store, coffee shop. Monkey forest is just few minutes walking away, the same for Ubud Yoga Center. To reach the very city center of Ubud it’s 5 minutes by bike.

During our staying we were in three different rooms that’s why I can tell you that all of them are nice and comfortable! If you pay a bit more you can also enjoy having a terrace or a kitchen. The view in the morning of all of them is so beautiful… sun, flowers, water. What’s important, you have privacy there since there are only 10 rooms in total. The Wi-Fi is good for working remotely or watching Netflix.

The whole place is really taken care- Guys clean rooms every day, water is periodically filtered/changed in the swimming pool, gardeners take care of plants.

The owner is such a nice person and what for me personally is very important- he does respect his workers. You just feel a good atmosphere there. The contact with management is also easy and immediate, very professional.

Don’t hesitate and just book this place if you want to have a wonderful time in Ubud. Highly recommended.

We sincerely apologize for any mismanagement on our part. And room 105 that you saw is still under construction. I’m so sorry about this our condition! In this our flamboyant villa Ubud, you only posted a lot of pictures, and you didn’t stay in our Flamboyant villa Ubud. Maybe you don’t know our hospitality for our guest. It’s very sorry for you. We are very sorry for your misunderstanding. We always give hospitality and honest service to all our valued guests and will give the same goes for Alexis, who was very courteous when you did not stay in this room and offered to cancel. We are sorry about these comments and pictures. We will take appropriate action in the future. Regarding room control, we are constantly taking steps to address this issue in our villa environment, rich natural environment in Nyuhkuning village, Ubud. Please understand that we are making every effort in this regard.

Rooms are near and tidy. Only issue is that the downstairs units do not have windows that would allow flow of fresh air through the room, only sliding glass doors in the front. You can't leave these open, because the resident cat wants to move in and sit on the bed, or wrap itself around your legs, seeking food. If you are allergic to cats, don't book here. I booked the room, via Booking dot com, which included breakfast, yet it disappeared for the actual booking, which is annoying. The cost isn't high, at 75.000 rupiah, but given the overnight stay was 1.000.000 rupiah, one would expect the venue to include breakfast at this price and not be so money hungry. The hot water was good in the bathroom, though the towel rack was broken and hanging off, so it's not possible to hang a towel. Basic maintenance is required, and it's the minor things that let a property down, especially given the fee per night. The venue is quiet, in a small side lane, though there is construction work in progress next door, which may affect guests...
