During a 3 week trip to Bali (my honeymoon with my wife) one of our first stops was a 3 night stay in Munduk. During this time we stayed at the Made Oka Homestay. The rooms were great. No air conditioning, though it’s a little cooler up north, so this wasn’t required. I don’t think many places in this area have air conditioning to be honest. The views from the room were spectacular. Free breakfast every morning (not the most exciting but free food to start the day is great). We hired a scooter direct from them at 70/80k per day (I can’t remember which) and drove ourselves around Munduk and the surrounding areas. There is a lot of ground to cover between the hot spots but it’s easy enough to get around by scooter. The staff were wonderful. Friendly and attentive to our every need. They helped arrange a massage for us (which was done in our room, it was delightful and myself and my wife both felt great afterward). |We had a small problem with the drain blocking in the shower but we told the staff who sorted this out immediately. Previous guest must have been a gorilla, all the hair causing the blockage. Bed was super comfy and big. Oh and the best bumgun I’ve seen out...

Which consisted of tea/coffee or fruit juice, a small plate of fruit and Toast and pancakes or toast and egg. What a beautiful place this is. The staff are all welcoming, helpful and extremely attentive. |We had room 8 which was quiet and peaceful with amazing views over the mountains and valley below. The room was super clean with a nice big comfy bed. The balcony is seen through a large window. Close to restaurants if you feel the need to go out for food or like we did twice have a delicious cheap meal here. |Not far from all munduk attractions, you can make a tailor made tour through made oka or alternatively hire a scooter which is what we did. |3 nights was plenty to explore all waterfall in munduk, the ancient banyan tree, the swings and temples, the famous gate and rice terraces. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here. |They only con would be because of the misty weather and rains the bathroom could do with a small ventilation so I could air as there is a slight...
