Have you ever stayed at such a perfect hotel that you wished you could live there forever? For us, this is Tapa Tepi Kali. My husband and I stayed here for more than 2 weeks and there is literally nothing bad I could say about this hotel. The manager and his staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Let me highlight what we liked the most: the breakfast is AWESOME! You can choose from a variety of meals and you can even combine or ask for special requests CLEANLINESS! omg, during our 3-week stay in Bali, we haven't seen such a clean place as Tepi Kali. The housekeeping staff is amazing. no bugs in the room - I have to highlight this as I think this is a weak point at many places in Indonesia. If sharing your room with the wildlife is your worst nightmare, Tapa Tepi is your place - you won't have any issues here. friendliness and atmosphere - even though it's a hotel, we felt like home during our stay. The staff is amazing - they not only seek all of your wishes but are also happy to share interesting stories about their culture. amazing food - the food at the restaurant is not only awesome but also very safe (I mean Bali belly-wise). They have very high hygiene standards, again, something very unusual in Indonesia. quiet - when visiting Bali, you'll have to count with noisy streets and some sleepless nights.. unless you're staying at Tapa Tepi, as it's located at a very quiet corner in Canggu. No scooters, no dogs, no roosters, you name it. comfortable bed - I'm quite a bad sleeper so I know what I'm talking about. Trust me, I had the best naps on this bed :) amazing activities - even if you're not staying with them, it's worth to try one of their activities: again, very high quality in a friendly atmosphere.

Read moreThey have the worst management anyone can imagine, the manager is called Komang, and he is the rudest manager you will meet. he simply doesn't care about the guest's interests - he just want to take your money in any kind of way. We came to stay for a week and paid the full amount, and on the third day my body and my boyfriend’s seemed to be irritated and red spots covered us, only to discover later that the bedsheets were full of insects so I asked the manager to return the money to me because I want to leave this hotel and I want to go to the hospital, he refused And he started telling me that the problem was with me while I was sick and that he wouldn't return us a single penny! So I decided to leave anyways. knowing that he cheated on us and we were a fraud victims!!! What a bad manager. The story did not end here. My boyfriend forgot his wristwatch in the room, so we went back to the hotel and asked them about it. They denied and we are sure that we forgot it in the room!!. Yes, they stole the watch and refused to admit it. They accused us of lying! They think this is the first time we've been to a hotel. I have spent my life among hotels all over the world I will definitely give this hotel ZEROOOOOOO DO NOT GO THERE Its a dirty dirty place hiding behind white doors! Not so good:
The 21% added on all prices (and for the receptionist, no, this is not standard in Indonesia, and yes, this was higher than all other hotels where we stayed during 1 month in Indonesia, including Bali).
I think I dealt with 3 different people manning the front desk, I communicated with the first person, a lady, upon arrival. My problem is that I had to repeat again the same info to all the different people, clearly an issue with hand-over, but the best was when I said verbally AND by email that I would not need their taxi service to the airport (quoted @ 350k, while I paid 150k to a serious driver) at 1:15pm the day before leaving, yet, someone called us and of course woke us up in the middle of the night, to say that we had no paid yet the driver for our morning taxi (the one I had cancelled 12h before...). I was furious as honestly I had been extremely clear, and badly needed the sleep before an early plane and a very long day.
