Service was amazing!… when we arrived at Bukit Lawang we were met by the friendly staff at Indra valley inn who took our bags for us and guided us to the hotel. They were friendly and learned our names and where we are from immediately. The staff was funny and welcoming and made us feel at home if I could leave 10 stars for service I would. The rooms were fine but the bed was slightly uncomfortable and the drain for the shower was outside the shower. Also the shower felt uncomfortably more like a prison shower Service was amazing!… when we arrived at Bukit Lawang we were met by the friendly staff at Indra valley inn who took our bags for us and guided us to the hotel. Also the shower felt like prison shower because of the light and there were no toiletries. The breakfast was good and we got welcome drinks that were very good! In one of the rooms the bedside lamp was a different colour to the other. And there was no air conditioning just a fan. There was a useful mosquito net around the bed and we got a balcony with the stunning view of the river and jungle. The trek that the guides gave us was amazing and we saw 7 orangutans in only one day! The tubing back was great fun and I highly recommend.

We came to Indra Valley, at Bukit Lawang in Sumatra with our 8 year old son and did the 3 day trek in the jungle with Obiwan's team. The whole trip was amazing. The trekking is superb, such beautiful places, the camps were great comfy and well prepared, always camping by the water so we could swim every afternoon and enjoy lovely evenings after a tiring day of trek, the guides and in general the whole Indra Valley team is so nice, friendly, the meals they prepare are delicious, and were spot on when seeing wild life as it is not so easy to spot it and really easy to miss! We were very lucky, watched the orangutans, gibons, hornbills, camaleons, turtles, snakes... honestly was unforgettable.

Cool place to stay with decent price. Stayed in their standard fan room and it's pretty nice with the hammock. I always love the moment where I have the quiet morning with the water flowing sound from the river, hot tea and scramble egg toast. Since I'm a solo traveller, bang Obiwan try so hard to make me feel that I'm not lonely 😆. I also had an issue with my car, i texted him and he quickly lend a hand and assisted me until it got fixed. He's the coolest!! Top notch hospitality! Will definitely gonna miss the place and all the small talks!

My wife and I stayed at the Indra Valley Inn for four nights in December, including two days and one night of trekking. The owner and boss “Obiwan” organized everything very well, including transport to and from Bukit Lawang. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, although I have to highlight “Fireman and “Verdi” as they were also our trekking guides. The accommodation is right on the river and we were given a room with a large balcony and a view of the river. The room including the bathroom was large and clean. Now about the trekking: Our trekking guide "Fireman" is a trained guide and the second guide was "Verdi", who is still in training, both did an excellent job. We saw five orangutans, two of them mothers with babies, up close. Other monkeys and animals too. We slept in a camp by the river and were fed by a cook (who was the boss at the rafting the next day) and did an excellent job. The rafting on fairly choppy water lasted about 20 minutes and was an experience. I can only recommend the Indra Valley Inn with “Obiwan, Fireman and Verdi” to everyone. My wife and I stayed at the Indra Valley Inn for four nights in December, including two days and one night of trekking. |The owner and boss “Obiwan” organized everything very well, including transport to and from Bukit Lawang.|The staff was very friendly and accommodating, although I have to highlight “Fireman and “Verdi” as they were also our trekking guides.|The accommodation is right on the river and we were given a room with a large balcony and a view of the river. |The room including the bathroom was large and clean.||Now about the trekking:|Our trekking guide "Fireman" is a trained guide and the second guide was "Verdi", who is still in training, both did an excellent job.|We saw five orangutans, two of them mothers with babies, up close.|Other monkeys and animals too. ||We slept in a camp by the river and were fed by a cook (who was the boss at the rafting the next day) and did an excellent job.||The rafting on fairly choppy water lasted about 20 minutes and was an experience.||I can only recommend the Indra Valley Inn with “Obiwan, Fireman and Verdi”...
