We arrived late due to a 12-hour flight delay. It was dark and we had the drive from Naples’ airport but we arrived to be met by Maria, our host, who was there to welcome us and tell us just what we needed to know before turning in. The hospitality of Maria and her son Marco, was exemplary. They wanted to be sure that our stay was as enjoyable as it could be and came back to the accommodation to ensure we knew all the best places to visit. Maria was very generous sharing her baking with us and even ensuring we had a supply of her homemade limoncello which was delicious, not to mention a selection of local produce. Maria and Marco really made us feel at home and very welcome. We were invited into their property as family members.
The village of Bomerano was delightful. The perfect place to shop with a plethora of fresh produce, local cheeses, fish and pastas. We also had a number of coffees and beers where we were able to engage with the locals. There are a surprising number of restaurants to suit all budgets, in the small village which are well worth trying out. There was a very friendly vibe in the village.
The accommodation itself was impeccable. We rented both apartments that Il Violino degli Dei offered. They were adjacent to each other but each had their own access and garden area with tables and chairs to eat outside. There was also a separate outdoor area to relax with sunlounges. It catered for all our needs and really was an important part of our holiday and not just somewhere to get our heads down. Everywhere was pristine and clean. The artwork, painted directly onto the walls, showed Maria’s passion for music. The garden space was plentiful and the care taken with its design and selection of plants and fruit trees made it idyllic. The views of the mountains were very...

The villa is clean, open and bright, with a good sized kitchen, well stocked with homemade lemoncello and other campanian treats! Maria and Marco treat us so unbelievably well, it felt as if we were an extention of their family. The location is fantastic. Located a 5 min walk away from Bomerano meant that we could hike the path of the gods from our doorstep. Town has great a cheeseshop, bakery, pasta shop, greengrocers, butchers and cafe, with all produce Campanian through and through. There's also a very regular bus service down to Amalfi if required. The villa was the perfect place to stay for our...
