Ristorante Naif — Restaurant in Agrigento

We selected the restaurant based on good reviews and ratings but unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our experience here, as the food we ate didn’t match our expectations. The noodles which we assumed would be more spaghetti style were thick and chewy and the pistachio cream sauce was sadly bland and tasteless (2 of our group ordered this, and have previously had a pasta dish in Catania with pistachio sauce which was really tasty). The order for sardines meatballs was given as noodles with sardines. The carbonara sauce was more rich than expected, and the sea bass sauce was just tomato based and also very bland. The tomato and mozzarella insalata dish was the best dish of the table, which was disappointing as only 1 person of the group enjoyed their meal. The food is heavenly, no exaggerating. Please try the aubergine pie with ricotta and pecorino, you'll definitely want to order the second one right away.The pasta is by far the best I've tasted ever, not only in Italy: the taste, the texture, aftertaste just incredible. True recommendation for a pistachio semifreddo with ricotta (on the photo). My photographing skills don't do justice to how rich the taste was. And it's is very reasonably prices: 1 starter (size of the main dish tbh), 1 pasta, 1 fish main course, bottle of water, 2 desserts, espresso and limoncello, incl the coperto, cost us 62 eur. if I could give 0 starts I would do so. I was yelled at by a waitress after they took me 30 minutes to bring me my second plate. I stood quiet, without anger, asking politely for the bill and I was told that they would charge me either way, and if I didn't eat my plate they would throw it away. I then ate the plate, the waitress brought me the bill, threw it away on the table with great rudeness. I ate my pasta in silence and went away. I notice that I didn't argue neither raised my voice. I guess the customer is always right is not their motto. I don't recommend this place to anyone. The food was not good, seafood was too hard...
