In aesthetic terms the trulli was very pretty and authentic. The owner was helpful and answered queries when we texted her. The location is central to the town but stays clear of the slightly tacky tourist trulli zone. Alberobello itself is lively and attractive; it is also helpfully positioned for attractions such as the stalactite caves and lovely towns like Martina Franca, Ostuni and Conversano. The Zoosafari at Fasano was well worth a visit. On the downside, the photos on the website led me to imagine that the trulli was a lot bigger than it actually was. I couldn't imagine staying there as a four which is the quoted maximum. Simplicity is the key to the trulli lifestyle but I found a week without kettle, oven and washing machine sufffcient. It might be a challenge to stay there on a budget if you had wanted to do a lot of cooking in the trulli itself. Read moreThis is a lovely place to stay. The accommodation is spacious, well equipped and very interesting. It's lovely lying in bed looking up into the conical ceiling. You can have it as self catering but we had B&B, breakfast is at a bar around the corner and is fine...a tea or coffee of your choice, small fruit juice, pastry of your choice and a couple of nice homemade biscuits. The cost of the rental is very reasonable. The owner insisted on picking us up at the train station and dropping us off at the end of the stay. I would recommend staying over in Alberobello as you get the chance to see the Trulli without the day trippers which is lovely. There are also some easy day trips by train from here. We went to Locorotondo which...
Read moreEverything about our stay was perfect. Antonia sent us a WhatsApp before arrival with clear instructions. She then met us as arranged, checked us in, and gave us details of the car park - about 300 m away. As others have described, the trullo is beautiful and is perfectly situated, close to the Main Street but far enough away - about 150 m - to be peaceful. Breakfast in the bar round the corner is simple but perfectly adequate - juice, coffee, croissant. And the...
