Hotel la Toscana — Hotel in Arezzo

We were looking for a reasonable hotel near the old city so that we could have dinner and a few glasses of wine in the city and not have to drive back to the hotel. We came upon this hotel, parked in front and were lucky to get the last room for 55 Euros. ESPERIENZA PESSIMA. Chiamo verso le 10:50 perché mi serviva urgentemente una camera, mi risponde una signora scocciata e mi dice che avrei avuto un quarto d’ora per arrivare perché lei stava andando via, quindi qui mi pongo la prima domanda, è possibile che in un hotel il personale vada via per la notte e non ci sia nessuno alla reception in caso di necessità? Comunque arrivo sudata e col fiato e dopo aver corso per 1.5km essendo da tutt’altra parte e mi accoglie un signore che mi dice che se ne avessi avuto necessità ci sarebbero stati altri posti e prova a rifilarmi una camera singola per 45€. Gli esprimo il mio disappunto avendo letto sul sito che una camera singola costasse 35€ e lui mi dice che quella è con il bagno condiviso, allora mi spara il secondo prezzo proponendomi una camera con bagno a 40€ come se mi stesse vendendo le azioni di Wall street, comunque, accetto perché essendo abbastanza tardi sapevo che non avrei potuto trovare di meglio. Entro nella camera e rimango spiazzata, copriletto macchiato, termosifoni pieni zeppi di polvere, capelli e peli sparsi nel bagno, cestino con carta buttata, caccole sulle tende, doccino e piatto doccia macchiati e pieni di capelli, non ho avuto il coraggio di fare la doccia anche se ne avrei avuto bisogno essendo che ho sudato molto per arrivare lì. Al mio risveglio ho messo le chiavi un un buco nella reception ancora chiusa e sono uscita. L’albergo non dispone di macchinette provviste di acqua quindi sono stata costretta a bere l’acqua del rubinetto del bagno. Esperienza...

We were lucky to get the last room here and although it was right next to reception and the entrance we were not unduly disturbed by people walking by in the night. The lady at the desk was also very nice and chatty. The room was fine, clean spacious and better than what you would expect for a 1* Hotel. The price was pretty good and although its outside the centre of Arezzo by a couple of blocks its not tooo far to walk (15 mins). Overall we would recommend this place as a...
