We stayed in 2 bedroom apartment. Upon arrival we could not reach the owner to arrange for check in via phone and when we finally did we were made to wait outside in the cold with our luggage for 20 mins. The apartment itself is newly renovated and clean and met expectations. However, the internet was not working and again communicating to the owner was very difficult as he was not responsive until the last night when he came down to actually help and fix the issue (wifi password he initially provided was incorrect). The parking is not included in the price, which is quite disappointing given the fact that most people drive to Bolzano (you can’t really get around without a car) and it’s not a place where you can just park anywhere unless you’re a resident so parking was a nightmare (we found this out on our own). The owner again was unfortunately unclear when explaining the parking around Bolzano. He did offer to use parking garage which he has access to and is available for 10 euros per day. We felt a little cheated by this because it really should be included in the price of stay, the entire apartment block is for rent but there’s no parking offered (unless you pay) which made it very difficult in a town where it’s nearly impossible for tourists to park. He said we could try find parking near by and if we struggle we could contact him before 10pm that night and he would give us access to paid parking he initially offered. After we discovered how difficult it was to actually park without prior advice, we tried calling the owner several times and sending text before 10pm to get access to parking he offered but again he was unresponsive. That point aside, what if there was an emergency? He was very difficult to reach and when asked he said he couldn’t answer. It was frustrating and made our stay...

Read moreOne of the worst travel experiences we ever had. We were planning to stay at this hotel with our ten month old baby girl for three nights. The hotel clearly stated in its terms that a baby bed is available. To be really sure, we even contacted the hotel in advance and asked if there really is a baby bed available for our little one, which they confirmed in writing. When we arrived at the hotel in the evening (a check in at noon was not possible out of sudden although they told as that it will be possible), there was no baby bed available. What they presented as a „baby bed“ was a joke, as they were referring to a sleeping sofa (see picture); this was not acceptable at all as this would have been a real danger to our baby girl as she would have fallen out. Instead of apologizing and helping us to find a solution, they said we do not have to check in if we do not like it and were really rude. So we ended up having to book another hotel spontaneously at night, which was huge stress, especially for our baby girl. ||It got even better when we saw that the manager from the hotel claimed that we voluntarily did not check in and therefore charged us the full three nights. When we called him and tried to discuss the issue, he just hung up. We have never experienced something as unfriendly before, therefore we can NOT recommend at all to stay...
