We stayed in Meisters Irma for five nights in September. The hotel is very peaceful, very well kept, with the most personable staff and management. The location is very leafy which shields the fact that the hotel is actually quite big but since it is spread over several buildings in large well appointed gardens it never feels big or crowded. There are two outdoor pools and one indoor. I just loved swimming in the early morning in the indoor one, peace and quiet, candle lit with the huge fire lit (thank you to the lovely chap who lit the candles and fire each morning with an affable smile). There are so many nice quiet soft armchairs to snuggle in and read a book, or just take in the stunning gardens and partial mountain views. The staff are lovely, the management work so very hard, Claudia and/or her Dad were there every day early morning and late in the evening. We found the reception staff to be so helpful and happy in their job, Antonio, our waiter at breakfast and dinner was a star, always so efficient, attentive, and always remembering our preferences. The Breakfast offering is such a wonderful treat and in a stunning setting at the top of the hotel. The lady who prepares the eggs is to be commended. The light lunches, afternoon tea treats and ice cream bar..yes we tried and enjoyed them all. Dinner is atmospheric, plentiful & varied, and the cheese board to be wondered at. Our room and bathroom were spotless. The walk into town was not arduous, but does take 15/20 minutes perhaps depending on your pace: it is very pretty. We never had a problem getting a space in the capacious hotel car park either. Plenty of hiking opportunities in the area to ease the...
Read moreWe have been staying here for the past 4 days and it’s a really beautiful hotel that feels like a special treat. The breakfast terrace on the 5th floor is a lovely way to start the day - and there’s a great choice of fresh fruits, Bircher muesli, cakes, bread rolls and hot options (which my husband has enjoyed). Everyone is extremely helpful, and my daughter’s preference for warm/cold oat milk has always been accommodated with a smile.|The pool area is wonderful - 3 pools to choose from (2 outdoor plus a large indoor) and plenty of very comfy sun loungers around the pools.|There are lots of little touches that make this hotel special - the many candles that are lit in the evening, the delicious afternoon fruit and cakes (and gelato for the children) and the friendly reception staff that helped me book hear riding excursions, that were a lot of fun!|Thanks to everyone at Villa Irma for a fantastic time - we...
Read moreHotel Irma was a most wonderful surprise. We arrived about 3:30, welcomed by the cakes and gelato offered every afternoon at 3:00. The food for breakfast and dinner was excellent, and the level of service superb. The bedroom was a little dated, but there was little need to spend time there given the many beautiful spaces to relax, ranging from the cozy library (which had the vast majority of books in German with nary a book in Italian to be found), to wonderful lounges with comfortable upholstered chaises, both outside and inside. Each day I swam laps in the indoor pool. On the last day there was a roaring fire in the huge fireplace, as well as lanterns with lit candles all around the pool—magical! I didn’t want my swim to end and kept swimming beyond my goal, something that never happened before. The only disappointment was that so many staff just spoke German. After all, we...
