I set up a trip to Italy for my graduation. It included an 8 day stay in Florence. I had selected the Relaise Tiffany B & B, because the pictures made the hotel look bright and well taken care of. I explained that my husband had allergies and was told no pets or smoking. I ordered the triple room but only received a king bed. || When we arrived, it looked nothing like the pictures. It was dull and dingy with a musty smell. The first night both my husband and I had to wear face masks to sleep. I privately requested for Franco, one of the owners to correct the situation because we could not breath. He said if we liked, he would refund the money and we could go somewhere else. We didn't want to do that and suggested maybe he could run the air while we were gone. I was also not able to hook up to the Wifi and he didn't know why it was dropping the signal. || The next 2 nights my husband was having severe respiratory issues. Miltida, Franco's assistant said she could definitely see he was sick. I explained to her that Franco offered to let us leave and not pay for the days we would be leaving. She agreed that would be fine. She asked for my banking info to return the money in the account. I again made sure that if we check out, we would receive a refund for the days that we would not be there. Again, she agreed. The next day Booking.com started that I would only receive 50 % of the refund. The B & B took $165 after they promised a full refund of unstayed nights. I explained that they verbally promised that they would provide a 100 % refund. Booking.com would not back us up.|| Not only is this "B & B", which is really rooms rented out without anyone located on premises needing severe updating and cleaning, they were deceitful. They did not provide the refund they promised. They charged for a triple room, providing only a king bed, and do not have reiable wifi. Additionally, if you have allergies or respiratory issues, do not stay there as it will only make it worse. Additionally, they are not honest. I was not able to get any support from Booking.com since they said it was a verbal agreement. Therefore, also be careful booking rooms with Booking.com since they will not support the customer. We moved to another hotel and are now sleeping comfortably. I would not recommend this B & ...
Read moreMy friend and I stumbled across Relais Tiffany in a web search of hotels before our trip to Florence. We chose it mainly for its convenient location near the train station, but were a little concerned that it might be noisy. The price was reasonable, so we booked it and kept our fingers crossed. We couldn't have been more wrong about the noise. Relais Tiffany is a small B&B located a few blocks from the entrance to the train station, but we did not hear a thing during our stay. The room was a good size, with twin beds (that could be made into a king if needed). Marta, the owner, greeted us warmly and even though we arrived many hours early, our room was ready for us in just a few minutes. After two long days of walking throughout Florence, the inn was a quiet refuge in a busy city. The room was spotless, the bathroom was generously sized and well equipped, and we had plenty of room for our luggage and other things. The best part was the delicious breakfast. There were many choice of meats, breads, hard boiled eggs, fruit and yogurt. Marta had made two fresh homemade cakes for us that first morning. . Yummy! Needless to say both our mornings there got us started on the right foot for a hard day of touristing! Marta was also extremely helpful in showing us the best routes into town and was very knowledgeable of all the many things to see and do in Florence. If I am ever fortunate enough to make another trip back to Florence, I will definitely...
Read moreIt is very well maintained hotel with excellent cleanness. The room is large and well equipped with mini fridge, bathroom is spacious. From outside, it doesn’t look like a B&B or hotel but an apartment, but easy enough to find. It’s an old but classy style room with high ceiling, I loved the romantic old vibe. Not for the breakfast, a bit of crackers, tea and coffee machine is prepared but no bread or fresh food. There is a lounge area that you can picnic though. The check in process is funny because they are not on the desk always but communicated to meet you there at a certain time, but if you don’t have internet, you have to take a risk to make someone to wait. That was only thing for us to feel inconvenient because we could not change our plan at all. However they were absolutely friendly and super helpful, once you get there you communicate with them via Whatsapp.
The location was excellent, walkable distance from main attractions 15-30 min, and the train station 5 min. Safe area with quietness at night, some local cafes and...
