We spent three nights here in a Superior Room, I believe it was Architecture. The room was directly off the reception area, but it was quiet. We never heard any activity in the evening or early mornings.||The beautifully decorated room was open, bright, and airy. The bed was comfortable, with high quality linens. The bath was also spacious with large, fluffy towels and a large shower with lots of hot water. A small issue was lighting over the mirror and sink which could have been a bit better.||The property is small, at just five rooms. It occupies most of one floor in a late 19th Century Palazzo. The rooms were meticulously restored retaining the original inlaid floors, many of the doors, the painted ceilings; and most impressive, the beautifully hand painted walls.||Entry is through a courtyard, and there is an elevator.||The location is ideal. It is easy to get to and from the property by car. Parking is on the street but there were always spaces available. We had a pass to display on our dash, so we did not have feed the parking meter. Walking from the hotel to the center of Modena took only a few minutes.||We really appreciated the common area and the amenities it provided. In the morning it served as the breakfast room. The rest of the day it served as a lounge offering snacks and beverages. In the evening, we stopped for a small glass of liquor before going to bed. ||Benedetta, the owner, was a pleasure to meet. She offered suggestions, arranged a balsamic vinegar tour for us at the last minute, and in general, made us feel like guests...
Read moreMy husband and I booked two rooms here with a friend for one night when we were going to Osteria Francescana in May 2024. I loved this B&B so much that I wish we had stayed another night. If we ever go back to Modena, this is where we will stay.||The room:|The room was absolutely beautiful and very unique with high ceilings, a beautiful Murano glass chandelier, and a well appointed bathroom. The view looked out over a beautiful courtyard that was lit up with lovely lights in the evening. The air conditioning was excellent.||The service:|The service was excellent. We got in later than expected due to heavy rains and trouble getting a taxi, but Benedetta stayed 30 minutes late to wait for us so she could make sure to tell us about the area, hotel, and let us grab some fruit and pastries since we were leaving early the next morning. She was extremely kind and friendly - one of the nicest people we met during our month in Italy.||The location:|We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Osteria Francescana (it’s literally across the street, like a one minute walk), but it’s also walking distance to several shops and restaurants - we wish we had stayed longer to explore. ||I can’t recommend this place enough - it was amazing and very affordable (less than 200 euro per night for our room, and 130 euro per night for our friend’s room) especially compared to the other hotels we stayed...
Read moreI have to say something about the quality of service I received from Benedetta (sp) and Salotto delle Arti. I rented out an Airbnb a street over for a little over a week only to realize I booked it a day shorter than needed.
So my wife and I are strolling through Modena with our toddler when I get a text from our Airbnb host asking why we haven't checked out yet. Long story short, I dropped the ball. So as we rushed back to collect our things since we weren't able to rent it out for another day, I'm calling in a panic and Salotto delle Arti had a room available within 30 minutes of my call!
Even better she let me in the room as I was hauling our luggage from the Airbnb. She even gave us the option to pay the following morning. She definitely went above and beyond and my family thanks her for that. As for the room, it was definitely worth it and wish we stayed there during our entire trip. A lot of amenities with beautiful fixtures and decor. I highly...
