We just came came back from Naples where we stayed at Don Pedro for two nights. We chose the hotel due to its location and based on the good reviews on TripAdvisor. The location is indeed great - walking distance to many attractions and right near the metro station. The owner was helpful when we asked for suggestions of sights to see and how to get to them. He also reserved a taxi for us to go to the airport. The room was quite big, but very basic. The shower was a big problem. The owner mentioned that it will take a few minutes for the water to get warm. After 20 minutes we still could not take a shower because the water never warmed up. The shower was also leaking and there was no single shelf/hook to put a shampoo/soap. ||Another problem was with the advertised wi-fi. It has not worked in the rooms at all. You could intermittently get a weak service in the lobby, but it was not working well either. The hotel also advertised free breakfast which was basically a joke. We got a voucher to the nearest coffee bar where each person could get one croissant and either a cup of cappuccino or a cup of tea. There were different kind of pastries available at the bar, but the bar owner said that this voucher did not cover them. ||Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel which cannot provide basic things that...
Read moreThe building is well located, and easy to get to by public transit. It was hard to locate the suites as there is no posted sign on either the entry or the elevator up to the rooms. After a hard time locating the correct unit we ran into the operator in the stairwell who informed us that she had sent us a message on "whatsapp" wondering what time we would arrive. She then explained that expedia did not inform us that we would need to talk to her to arrange our arrival time, despite filling out a "fast check-in" questionnaire. Obviously that's not expedia's responsibility, she had our email and our phone number and could have reach out anytime but didn't. A disorganized business to say the least. Fairly comfortable room, air conditioning worked,...
Read moreDon Pedro was a great stay! Centrally located, close to a metro and train station, comfortable bed, and amazing service (very responsive). Natacha stayed late for us after a delayed train to let us in, and gave us great recommendations for our day in Napoli! It had kind of an interesting entrance late at night, through a sort of “hobbit” door, which was kind of fun. It made finding the place a little interesting. Although this wasn’t necessarily a high end place, I thought we got great value for our stay and very much enjoyed the room and the welcome. I will stay again the next time...
