Francesca was very helpful with our booking, organising airport pick up and advice on how to get about in the run up to our stay as was Sara.|We were greeted at the airport by the lovely Giuseppe who had held on for us with our flight being slightly delayed. It was quite late at night, however the area was very lively. We too were initially daunted by the main front door, however once into the courtyard, you entered an oasis of calm and tranquility. The self-check in instructions were easy to follow. Walked through the quirky retro reception and breakfast areas adorned with hats and vintage phones and plush furnishings to our room. Just up our street!|We stayed in the Vero for a couple of nights. Wonderful tall ceilings and windows with tasteful decor overlooking the Piazza Dante and a nice nook for coffee. The double bed and single on the mezzanine level were lovely and comfortable. The sofa bed typical sink in the middle not so. Air conditioning powerful and effective. |The breakfast was very good. A good selection of cold cuts, pastries, cakes, bread, fresh fruit and some savoury baked items, bruschetta, sandwiches, etc. Freshly-squeezed orange juice and home made yoghurt were a nice touch. Caffe latte was a bit hit and miss (sorry). Lena thoughtfully prepared a plate for our eldest who was still sleeping. Teresa (?) was very helpful with our day trip to Procida. |Room change went smoothly. We left our luggage in the room and housekeeping took care of the rest. Connie was slightly smaller (without coffee area or fridge) yet equally charming, overlooking the courtyard. It had proper beds up and down, all comfortable. Our children preferred this room.|We loved the Posca Bar and Bakery affiliated to the House in Naples. |Enzo and the team were so welcoming and such fun! Just the place to stop off after a long day in the sun or after dinner. |We could find little fault with the Dante House. The location, the rooms, the staff, the breakfast were all spot on. The only downside was payment by cash which was insisted upon on booking (yet others were paying by card at check out???)....
Read moreSuperb Location The hotel is perfectly situated in a prime location, making it incredibly convenient to explore all that Naples has to offer. Whether you’re interested in historical sites, local markets, or dining experiences, everything is within easy reach.
Spacious Rooms One of the standout features of this hotel is the size of the rooms. They are notably spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. However, the beds were not comfortable, which impacted the quality of sleep during our stay. This was a significant downside in an otherwise pleasant room.
Authentic Building Staying here feels like stepping back in time, thanks to the building’s authentic architecture. The historical charm is beautifully preserved, offering a unique and immersive experience.
Helpful and Informative Staff The staff at this hotel are a wealth of knowledge and incredibly helpful. They provide plenty of useful information about the area, including recommendations for dining, attractions, and transportation. Their quick and attentive service greatly enhanced our stay.
Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with the car service booked through the hotel for our transfer to the airport. The driver did not drop us off near the airport entrance, and we had to walk a considerable distance with our luggage. This was quite inconvenient and left a poor final impression of our stay.
All-Day Coffee and Snacks A wonderful perk of staying here is the availability of coffee and snacks throughout the day. It’s a delightful touch that adds to the overall comfort and convenience of the hotel.
Delicious Breakfast The breakfast offered is fantastic, with a wide variety of foods including local specialties. It’s a great way to start your day, with options that cater to every palate.
In conclusion, this hotel in Naples is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to experience the city’s charm and hospitality. From its prime location and spacious rooms to the excellent service and delightful amenities, it offers everything you need for a memorable stay. Highly...
Read moreFirst time in Naples, Italy, and found this little gem over the internet. The Dante House. I went by the previous reviews and took a chance. It was such an amazing stay and a wonderful experience. Do not go by the look from the outside it’s deceiving, and you may second guess your choice. The rooms and washrooms are super clean, inviting, and well-kept, large rooms, includes basic toiletries that a regular hotel provides you, that was amazing. The Receptionist contacted me via WhatsApp days in advance before the stay. They have an option of booking a driver to pick you up from the airport to The Dante House. We took on the service and are so glad that we also booked with them for drop-off at the airport as well. They keep in touch with you before your arrival and have a one-on-one conversation with you in person to accommodate your needs. The windows looking through the entire place there are amazing. The location is perfect, very central, and accommodates a lot of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Denny and the girls in the morning are so friendly and amazing. With a good, yummy assortment of breakfast, you will not go hungry, sitting in an amazing room. The girls were so amazing they made us some amazing cappuccinos on request. They recommended the best restaurant for pizza/pasta “Bellini Ristorante Pizzeria” just a walking distance from the Dante House. Cons- The mattress. I would recommend mattresses be changed. The rest was all good and an amazing place to enjoy your stay in Naples. My kids loved their stay at the Dante House and so did we. Every single staff member was so nice, kind, and helpful. The Receptionist at night, Denny and the girls we met at Breakfast, the cleaning lady, such sweet people. If I ever go back to Naples, this is where I will...
