My fiance and I each ordered a pizza and got a .5L of their house red wine. The pizza, overall, was good. It is cooked in a brick oven and the crust had good flavor. In our opinion, the crust is a little doughy and the wine has been our least favorite in Italy so far (including Milan, Bologna, Florence, and Rome). The reason for knocking 1 star...It was the service when they brought out my Margherita pizza. It was served without basil or the ball of cheese in the middle (that's pictured). I can forgive the ball of cheese, but no basil makes it a completely different pizza. They said they were out. But what really made me write this review was the woman said it had the same taste and waved her hand like it didn't matter while walking away. This was done in a rude manner like "you're not Italian and you won't notice". I know what a Margherita pizza should be, and they did not deliver. Truthfully, this made me very angry. I would have lowered them to 2 or 3 stars had it not been for our primary server being great. If they would've apologized or offered to make me something else, I would've been happy. But this response was wrong.

Pizza is decent but not the best in Napoli. The service is horrendous. First the waiter ignored me when I asked if I could take a seat. Then he eventually looked at me and pointed to the end of an apparent queue. I lined for maybe 5-10 min then the people in front of me, who the waiter was chatting to, just left and the waiter went back inside. I was confused but then realized they were probably his friends or something. I asked another waiter if I could sit and, surprised, he said yes of course. I was already a bit annoyed by then. The waiters didn't look busy at all (they were chatting, smoking) but they took ages to notice me calling them for the order, bill, and they even forgot to serve my drink. After all this (and a so-so Neapolitan margherita) I was charged 2 x copertino (sitting fee) because I, a solo travellers, sat at a 2-person table. This was €5, almost as much as the pizza. Overall not a memorable first experience of dining in Naples. I advise tourists to try out restaurants in Centro Storico instead.

As someone who is gluten-free, I was really looking forward to dining here, but it was a major letdown. We arrived for lunch right after getting to Naples, and it was incredibly crowded. We waited 45 minutes with no seating and were constantly jostled by the crowd on the street—very uncomfortable and even a bit suffocating. Once seated, it took 15-20 minutes just for a waiter to come take our order, and the service overall was extremely slow. They clearly weren’t prepared to handle the volume of customers. We waited another 20-30 minutes for our food, so we finally got served almost two hours after arriving. I've tried gluten-free pizzerias worldwide and across Italy, so I feel confident saying this was disappointing. We ordered the gluten-free margherita and fried pizzas, and both fell flat. They were soggy, the sauce tasted undercooked, and the flavors were non-existent—like eating plain tomato puree out of a can. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It felt like a complete waste of time.

Such a lovely place to eat! It gets really busbusy here so be prepared to wait. We arrived as they opened at 12:00 and it filled up very quickly. I ordered the Mariana Pizza (gluten free) and my cousin ordered the Croquet pizza. My gluten free base was amazing! It's the first time I have ever had a properly homemade base that's not just a frozen base out the freezer. Definitely would recommend it! The prices are super reasonable, I only paid 6,50€ for my pizza! Service was friendly and we sat outside which was a great atmosphere.

Our first restaurant experience in Naples. The pizza crust was so soft and delightful. Good amounts of cheese, meatballs and eggplants. All round a great pizza. They had good beer options although the white wine had run out. It is a very busy little cafe so would suggest being quick with you’re ordering if you’re hungry. We got to sit outside on the high stalls so that was great for people watching also! They also advertise that they have GF options which is wonderful.

#celiaco #senzaglutine #glutenfree #glutine
