Residence Mareo — Hotel in Riccione

Stayed at this hotel for 12 nights in July 2013. There are some pros and quite a few cons with this hotel. The pros first; the lady in the reception/office is very nice and helpful. She speaks good english, italian and russian and is very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is quite nice with a 200 meters walk to the beach (online it says 50 meters, but that is not correct) and a few hundred meters to the main event street during night time. To the city centre it is about a kilometer, and it is a nice walk in the evening with lots of shops and vendors along the way. Also we enjoyed the possibility of washing clothes at the hotel. There is both a washing machine, and a dryer there and it costs 3,50 Euro to wash a machine. Also the WiFi is both stable and fast in the entire hotel. ||||The Cons - we had an apartment for four persons (there were actually 5 beds in the room) and the room solution is very bad, and the room/apartment seems very cramped at all times. The standard of the room is not very good, and especially the bathroom where in bad condition. The shower-head holder was broken for most of our stay, even though they tried to repair it. The shower is very small and old. The room had two balconys, both of them very small, leaving us no chance to sit out together at the same time. There are noe furniture on either of the balconies, but they fit two chairs from the kitchen - nothing more. We payed for breakfast, and that was served on a nearby restaurant, as Mareo don't have their own restaurant. The breakfast was superbad - end of story. The room is cleaned every 6th day, and the towels are being changed every third. Also I would recommend to buy parking if you bring your own car. The area around the hotel is totally congested with traffic, and it is not easy to find a place to park the car. Parking is 7 Euro per day, and is done in the cellar of a different hotel a few hundred meters away from Mareo. Be advised that the parking cellar is very tight, and italians don't care too much about their cars! We had our car scratched pretty bad but the answer from the hotel was of-course "we know nothing". We bought "seats" at the beach included in the room price - and the bill said two sun beds and one umbrella. Mareo has their places at beach number 119, which is the lamest of all sections of the beach. You are given two sunbeds but no umbrella. You will be assigned a spot under a long tent, and if you would like an umbrella, you must pay extra for it. The price for two sunbeds and an umbrella is 20...

Ho soggiornato con amici presso questa struttura e non ci siamo trovati affatto bene! Appena arrivati abbiamo trovato molta arroganza e prepotenza da parte della receptionist. Che ci ha subito chiesto 50 euro a testa (eravamo in 4) per la cauzione, per eventuali danni all'appartamento e rumori; soldi che fino alla mattina stessa non sapevamo di dare dato che nel sito non c'era alcuna menzione di questi 50 euro!! E di questo fatto si sono approfittati dato che eravamo tutte ragazze di 19 anni.||Per quanto riguarda la posizione è molto comoda, spiaggia raggiungibile facilmente anche a piedi, circa 5 min, centro molto vicino raggiungibile piedi, a due passi Bar, Ristoranti e negozietti.||Il periodo in cui siamo andate è stata la prima settimana di luglio quando la situazione COVID era un po' migliorata. Ma comunque ci aspettavamo più pulizia dato il periodo molto rischioso, infatti appena entrate in camera abbiamo trovato per terra capelli, polvere, resti di cibo; asciugamani sporchi (che sono andata a chiedere di cambiare ma non ho trovato nessuno, quindi servizio 24h su 24h non è vero). Piano cottura rotto e arrugginito con fornelli poco funzionanti, bagno sporco con doccia non pulita, rotta e cattivo odore.||Questo fa pensare che non sono state prese le giuste misure di igiene e pulizia, le quali dovrebbero avere la priorità non solo sempre ma soprattutto in questo periodo delicato.||Abbiamo noleggiato 4 bici, devo dire prezzo molto giusto, però erano pericolose, entrambi i freni non funzionavano e per questo abbiamo rischiato incidenti.||Nel sito trovate inclusa nell'appartamento una TV con il servizio SKY, non è così!, non c'è nessun biglietto sky e se lo chiedete dovete pagare un prezzo extra non menzionato sul sito.||Wifi funzionante a tratti.||Capisco che nel residence possono soggiornare famiglie con bambini piccoli, però accusare delle ragazze di confusione e di minacciarle di non ridare i 50 euro indietro, (quindi 200 euro in totale) mi sembra veramente esagerato, (confusione che noi non facevamo, ma anche se fosse nel nostro piano eravamo solo noi, quindi venirci a bussare alla porta e dire che accanto c'era un bambino che piangeva per il nostro baccano quando in realtà accanto a noi c'era solamente un magazzino è imbarazzante) detto questo c'erano altri gruppetti di ragazzi che facevano confusione. Poi approfittare così dei ragazzi non è accettabile.||Eravamo al piano terra con la terrazza che si affacciava sulla strada, facilmente raggiungibile da fuori, aggiungerei che la serranda della porta finestra che permetteva di accedere alla terrazza non chiudeva, con il rischio che ci entrassero dentro l'appartamento.||||Non lo consiglio affatto, se dovete andare con un figlio piccolo con il rischio che tocchi ovunque dato che le camere non sono pulite. E se dovete andare con amici state attenti alla pulizia e ad altre cose che se ne...

Hi my name is Jane. I went to Riccione, Italy this October and i loved it there. We stayed at Residence Mareo and it was fabulous!! We booked 2 weeks and i had so much fun, the kids and my husband did also. The service, Price and sanitation was great, i was amazed. Staff was welcoming and very kind, Anila (one of the employees) would ask every time if we needed help with anything or if we needed help with translating something, because we only speak English. She was an amazing and educated girl and she always had a smile in her face. I had plenty of sleep because of the accommodation that the Hotel provided.
