My wife and I️ both enjoyed our stay very much. As a matter of fact, I️ cannot say enough about this hotel. Very clean and comfortable room in a great neighborhood close to many of the Major sites and many great local shops.
The owners of the hotel (Danny and Emma) are very warm and welcoming. Danny speaks excellent English. They don’t actually live on the premises, so be sure to email them the evening before or morning of your arrival with a general idea of your arrival times. I️ found their replies to emails to be very prompt.
When arriving on the outside of the hotel, look for the large dark green doors. You’ll need to buzz the hotel office to get in. From there, proceed to the elevator. Be advised the elevator is older and has room for two people or one person with luggage. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor. A hint about the elevator...wait for it to finish its business before attempting to open the doors. It must come to a complete stop before you open the inner doors. If you open the doors before it has stopped, the outer door will not unlock. But don’t worry, Emma or Danny (your hosts) will meet you at the elevator once you reach the third floor.
There is a bank with cash machines right around the corner, a great gelato shop called Lemongrass across the street, one of the best bakeries in Rome called Dolce Maniera just down the street. Even the restaurant next door named Panino Davino has great fresh pizza by the slice...

This was the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. You can’t even call this a hotel—it’s more like a scam. They’ve divided one apartment into several rooms and rent them out individually.
Let me explain. The first room we checked into had an air conditioner that was so noisy, even when turned off, that we couldn’t stay in it. We asked them to fix it, so they moved us to another room. The second room was dirty and old. We asked them to fix the air conditioner and let us return to the original room, despite the noise being unbearable—happening every 10 minutes whether it was on or off.
They promised to fix it while we were out, but when we returned, they had taken all of our untouched breakfast. They claimed they fixed the issue, but it was exactly the same, and no one was available to respond to our messages.
It was such a terrible experience; we couldn’t sleep at all during our stay and were exhausted. Finding another hotel was difficult because there was no one at reception to even discuss a refund. This place is a complete scam. Please don’t stay...
Read moree just left Rome on 8/21 with my family. La Cupola Del Vaticano is in a great location, we had a big room with comfy beds, and it was clean, the air conditioning was great, the elevator was small but without it, it could have been difficult to carry out our luggage to our room. Famous sightseeing such as The Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Fontana Di Trevi, Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo are within walking distance, and the Vatican is just right across the street, the metro is a couple of blocks away. A lot of restaurants around, and right across the street there is a grocery store. ||The waitress "Bing" she goes by Bingo was very kind and very friendly, gave us advice regarding sightseeing, she brought breakfast up to our room every morning. Silvia, the Cupola's owner was great, the best way to reach her is through WhatsApp. She arranged for a taxi for us before we arrived in Rome and...
