PLEASE READ ALL❗️ I’m updating this to respond to the owner’s comment, since there’s no way to reply directly on Google.
I find it important to speak up again, (first original review is below). because the response from the owner shows absolutely no accountability. We were not disrespectful at all. My boyfriend simply said to me that he couldn’t understand what the woman was saying — that’s it. And for that, we were treated rudely and kicked out as if we had done something wrong. It was shocking and humiliating. (I know it’s unbelievable bc how will that bother someone???, we don’t know)
The owner replyed my review as calling us “uneducated people” is just unbelievable — especially when it was her who disrespected us first and acting that we did something wrong?, like what???? I honestly didn’t even want to go there (I was already tired of paninis), but my boyfriend insisted on trying it. That’s the only reason we went, and why we only ordered one — not realizing that would be a problem.
He ended up completely disappointed — not because of the food, but because of how we were treated for no reason. What’s more, if you read other reviews here, you’ll see this isn’t just our experience. Multiple people have shared how rude and aggressive that woman can be. It’s not okay, and people deserve to know the truth before deciding to visit.
One simply Word: AWFUL The lady that works there Is RUDE, and they’re not welcoming at all. My boyfriend was ordering a panini and she was talking to him in Spanish, he didn’t understand what she said so he told me “she was talking to me in Spanish I didn’t a understand anything” and she heard him saying that and completely freaked out, we still don’t understand why, she kicked us out the worse possible way, screaming and pushing in front of everyone.. also there’s barely any room there, and if you don’t buy 2 PANINIS YOU DONT SIT!!!! or they will kick you out 🤣🤣🤣 Service is just...
Read moreOwned by one horrible woman! AVOID unless you want to be shouted at and not appreciated for your custom. We ordered 3 panini from the man who prepares them, the woman was outside at this point. We were stood at the side of the chiller unit so the we could give our order. The woman walked back and made a scene over marking her territory as that was where she needed to be - no polite “excuse me”. She got our orders from the man so she could charge, she offered drinks but we declined. At this point had she said “no drink, no sit” we would have respected that, but she just took the payment. The man then asked us “now or later” so we said now. He served them to us on a wooden board, not in a bag (as others had left with) so we made our way to some seats that had just become free. The group that had just stood up were speaking in Italian and we did not understand they were having issues with the woman. As we sat down we got a barrage of abuse over not having a drink. I thought it was because I had just put my refillable water bottle on the side as I went to pick up my panini (I had no intention of drinking it in there and it was only tap water), so I put it away in a bag, but still the abuse came. We just got up and left as the rudeness was unrelenting. Once outside, the group who has been speaking to her in Italian asked us if we had just had abuse off her as well, so clearly she is in the habit of offending her customers. Stay clear, she doesn’t deserve...
Read moreThe panini was amazing, but the service was awful. First of all, there were two tourists in front of us, and the lady serving told us we couldn’t sit down because the others had been served first — even though there were still two empty tables outside where people could have stood and eaten. But when they saw us, they sent us away, saying it was her restaurant and she makes the rules. On top of that, she refused to add an extra sauce, saying they already have their “special sauce” — another red flag.
Then, we stepped outside and had a soda we had bought earlier from a shop. She actually came after us to say we couldn’t sit at her outdoor table because she sells drinks too, and she started getting aggressive with us. To make things worse, she also insulted us in Italian, which was completely uncalled for and unprofessional.
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this panini shop. I understand it’s your business and you want to make money wherever you can, but she could have at least spoken to us with basic respect — especially since we had already ordered...
