This hidden gem is genious. On the outside they had a huge fan with a waterhose so the people in line got a cool mist in the August heat. You pick the size of the cup, and then tell them which flavours you want. Me and my friend picked the 4€ size and got three big scoops of gelato. They have a menu on the outside so you can decide while in line. I got Black Cherry, Mango and Pistachio. Black Cherry was really sweet and yoghurt-like. Mango was a sweet savory sorbet. Pistachio tasted like the actual nuts and was a pleasant surprise. My friend had the hazelnut/chocolate which tasted like Kinder Bueno/Ferrero Rocher, and Lemon which actually was pretty sour, but in a good way.

I got the (milkless) chocolate, pistachio, and (amaretto I think) in a cone and this was €2. I got it after visiting the Vatican and I was surprised to see them open before their opening hours. The gelato was absolutely delicious and the chocolate was very different and it tasted like something similar to black cocoa which I loved. When choosing a mix of flavours in 1 cone I’d recommend choosing a similar flavour profile (wouldn’t mix creamy and refreshing together; lemon and pistachio was a weird mix but delicious separately) 10/10 coming back while I’m in Rome

As many others have already said, this has got to be one of the best gelato shops in Rome (at least in the central/touristy areas where we have had gelato)!

Prices range from 2-5euros according to your cone choice, and you get to choose 3 flavours regardless of cone cost. The bacio flavour was an absolute knockout, especially if you like hazelnuts, and all the other flavours my boyfriend and I tried were delicious (banana, cherry, cookie, salted caramel). The 3euro wafer cone had some sort of white chocolate filling between the layers and went amazingly well with the gelato. Service was also genuine and friendly despite the crowds.

If you visit Vatican City and find yourself peckish, you absolutely must not miss this...

We came here just by following the Google reviews, it has good amount of reviews and most of them positive. Believe me, the reviews are short for what it really is. The gelato is amazing. We live in Buenos Aires where we also have excellent ice cream (I consider the best in this side of the world), but the ice cream on this place was EXCELLENT. They were really friendly and actually suggested some flavors. The Rum cream (I don’t remember the proper name but can be asked like this) it was just perfect. Pistachio, perfect. Mango, perfect!
