Garni Marina — Hotel in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

The hotel exceeded expectations!

First of all, I would like to thank the owner of the hotel - Linda, for a very quick response to email, help with all issues and dedication to her work!

• The hotel is located 200 meters from the nearest ski lift and 600 from the Saslong ski lift. There is a ski bus stop nearby. Also a supermarket, restaurants and ski equipment rentals.

• The hotel itself is quite small and very cozy, there is a large free parking for 10 cars. Sauna, jacuzzi, infrared chamber, solarium, excellent ski depot, with active boot dryers.

• The breakfast is wonderful, a large variety of vegetables, cheeses, sausages, bread, jam, pastries, sweets. Fruit salad is a masterpiece!! Natural juices, automatic coffee machine with excellent beans. You can order freshly prepared fried eggs or an omelet.

• The rooms are compact and homely, with plenty of storage space, clean bedding and bathrooms, half of the rooms have a balcony. Wi-Fi is great - stable 60 Mbit/sec. Cleaning every day.

The impressions from staying here extremely positive....

This is the most comfortable 2 star hotel I've stayed in. Rooms are very clean and well made. Beds are extremely comfortable. A 'single' room came with a king size bed. Something about the atmosphere is just very homey & relaxing. I didn't wake up with any back pain for my hikes from the bed. And I had a direct view of the mountains!

Breakfast was mediocre at best but it's free! Coffee down the street is much better and their is a market across the street.

Avoid la TAMBRA steakhouse if you go out for dinner.

We really enjoyed our stay and our time in the Dolomites. Our room was on the top floor, was very clean, and the furnishings were in good condition. It was nice having a balcony as well. Bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of space in the room for our belongings. Also, the Garni Marina had the best breakfast we encountered in our entire 2.5 weeks in Europe.
