Just returned from the beautiful Val garden staying 2 weeks at the family owned hotel touring in Santa Cristina. We stayed in a comfortable 4th floor room with dual aspect balcony’s with views of Sassolungo and the Puez Odle mountains (how we will miss that view) and can highly recommend staying in room 402. The excellent heated rooftop infinity pool and sauna was a delight to use everyday after a day walking and enjoying the mountains and surrounding valleys. What really sets this hotel apart is the incredible food and amazing service. In all the countries and hotels we’ve stayed at we have never eaten this well with a great choice at both breakfast and dinner. In 2 weeks we didn’t see the same menu option or even the same infused butter on the table twice! All dishes were cooked and presented to perfection, the kitchen staff are a credit to the hotel. We stayed half board and highly recommend doing so but even if you don’t stay here try this restaurant as you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant staff made us all feel so welcome and work so hard to please everyone at dinner and breakfast and I want to say thank you to Marco, Carmen, Hassan, Alessandro and all the team for making our and our sons stay so wonderful and memorable. The stunning dolomites are well worthy of their unesco status and this hotel and staff are well worthy of a 5 star review. Gracie...

Read moreImpeccable hospitality, location, ambience and food.
The rooms are modern as advertised. Our waiter Daniele has been the best ever and is extremely attentive and helpful. Dinner is wayyy beyond what we paid for and anyone who chose only the breakfast is unfortunate. On the flip side the breakfast is perhaps outshined, though there was a big variety of local goodies that weren’t to our taste. Good thing, there’re eggs and waffles made freshly as an option to order.
The views from the rooms (we had the Saslong suite) - the photos speak louder than my words. Peaceful, even though at the time of visit the Central Europe is suffering from poor air quality.
The staff members are also extremely willing to help and will answer to you within split seconds. We started here as a hiking trip but ended up feeling like a luxurious retreat.
Location - minutes away from the S. cristina bus stop. We don’t drive, so for any of the folks like us, it makes you feel incredibly blessed when you travel back to bolzano - because we are before the populous, traveller-packed Ortisei, we didn’t have to fight for a seat or a place to put your luggage. Super easy to access Seceda from the Col Raiser lift too.
I have scrolled through the val gardena official website and I can vouch that this is THE hotel to go at this price point...
