Impeccable hospitality, location, ambience and food. The rooms are modern as advertised. Our waiter Daniele has been the best ever and is extremely attentive and helpful. Dinner is wayyy beyond what we paid for and anyone who chose only the breakfast is unfortunate. On the flip side the breakfast is perhaps outshined, though there was a big variety of local goodies that weren’t to our taste. Good thing, there’re eggs and waffles made freshly as an option to order. The views from the rooms (we had the Saslong suite) - the photos speak louder than my words. Peaceful, even though at the time of visit the Central Europe is suffering from poor air quality. The staff members are also extremely willing to help and will answer to you within split seconds. We started here as a hiking trip but ended up feeling like a luxurious retreat. Location - minutes away from the S. cristina bus stop. We don’t drive, so for any of the folks like us, it makes you feel incredibly blessed when you travel back to bolzano - because we are before the populous, traveller-packed Ortisei, we didn’t have to fight for a seat or a place to put your luggage. Super easy to access Seceda from the Col Raiser lift too. I have scrolled through the val gardena official website and I can vouch that this is THE hotel to go at this price point (~£300/night mid June).

We arrived at this hotel, and unfortunately, it falls far short of its supposed 4-star rating. While the receptionist was giving us the runaround, I noticed that the couches in the lobby were torn. The receptionist claimed that, just for us, he would upgrade our room without us even asking. When we got to the room, it turned out to be exactly the one we had booked—no upgrade at all. The problem was that the room had a loud noise, which we believe was coming from the pool drainage system, as it sounded like water was running down the outside wall from the upper floors. We went to inform him, and of course, he insisted it was impossible. We asked him to come to the room to hear it himself. When he realized the noise was indeed very loud, he said he could offer us another upgrade. This time, we got a room that was quiet. At breakfast, it felt like we had traveled back in time 40-50 years. It looked more rundown than my grandmother's place.

Such an awesome location. We loved how quiet the town was, beautiful trails right from the hotel or a few minutes away from incredible gondolas. We visited late August and had such an incredible time. Very friendly staff, really clean and renovated rooms with incredible views, really nice roof top pool, sauna and lounge area with 360 views all around. Even if it can get busy it still felt private, quiet and relaxing after a full day of hiking. Another full spa area on the lower level. Breakfast for vegans is limited but that didn’t take away from our experience, plenty of options within a 10 min drive for lunch & dinner. Hotel is boutique which means no gym and some of the amenities that larger resorts have, but I personally believe it’s one of the best values in the Dolomites given its location, views, staff, rooms and cleanliness.

Just returned from the beautiful Val garden staying 2 weeks at the family owned hotel touring in Santa Cristina. We stayed in a comfortable 4th floor room with dual aspect balcony’s with views of Sassolungo and the Puez Odle mountains (how we will miss that view) and can highly recommend staying in room 402. The excellent heated rooftop infinity pool and sauna was a delight to use everyday after a day walking and enjoying the mountains and surrounding valleys. What really sets this hotel apart is the incredible food and amazing service. In all the countries and hotels we’ve stayed at we have never eaten this well with a great choice at both breakfast and dinner. In 2 weeks we didn’t see the same menu option or even the same infused butter on the table twice! All dishes were cooked and presented to perfection, the kitchen staff are a credit to the hotel. We stayed half board and highly recommend doing so but even if you don’t stay here try this restaurant as you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant staff made us all feel so welcome and work so hard to please everyone at dinner and breakfast and I want to say thank you to Marco, Carmen, Hassan, Alessandro and all the team for making our and our sons stay so wonderful and memorable. The stunning dolomites are well worthy of their unesco status and this hotel and staff are well worthy of a 5 star review. Gracie...
