We travelled to The Bel Mont with Crystal Ski. It’s a really charming 3 star family run hotel. The elderly Husband and Wife team are ever present throughout the day keeping an eye on things. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with fruit, cereal, yogurt, bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs etc. Dinner is good. Full disclosure, we’d often enjoyed the apres before dinner (where you order the next days food) so it’s often been a surprise. Top tip, cold cuts actually turned out to raw beef so beware. ||Hotel room was clean, beds were comfortable, great shower and exceptionally hot as often is the case in ski hotels. We had a balcony overlooking the saslong. ||Crystal bookers, beware there’s no rep in the resort, which is no problem for us, but there was no rep on the bus which caused a few issues dropping everyone off. If you hire skis they’re from the next village. ||The hotel has an excellent boot room, who doesn’t love toasty boots in the morning. The bus stop is 20 paces from the boot room. But it does take between 35 and 45 minutes to get to the top of the Saslong (involving, bus, train, bubble, chair). You might be better depoting near the lift. In the evening you can ski right back to the hotel, but this will involve the faff of catching the train if you’ve been on the sella Ronda side. ||Would certainly recommend this hotel, nice location, super friendly staff, and excellent...
Read moreGood location hotel. Only 50m to the ski bus and you can ski down from the slopes right to its doorstep. Very convenient.|Room was ok, but not exciting. Definitely too hard pillows. I couldn't sleep with those. Ours room did have a balcony facing Langkofel & Co. Nice views.|Very good ski room and active boot drying rack. So boots were warm and dry the next morning. Other overall facilities were nothing to complain about. Also included a rather new spa area.|The real downer and why I am giving it 3stars, only, was the food served. In particular the dishes at dinner, which was part of the half board. Although to be pre-ordered in the morning, already, none of the dinner dishes were really cooked. They were serving convenience food and that was not tasty nor good looking. I wondered, if they even had a real chef in the kitchen.|For me a no go in that price range they were asking and how it is described on the hotel's website. That really spoiled our stay there and we were not the only ones feeling that way. We saw many plates being returned untouched. The owners really need to have a look into this. Because this is the reason I can not...
Read moreThe hotel is conveniently located close to the town center, ski lifts and shopping. A ski buss stops just outside the hotel too. The ski room was large and practical and the ski shoe dryers are a nice touch. ||||The hotel has its own parking space.||||The rooms were clean and spacious, but are probably due for some renovations soon as the styling was un-modern and the furnishings were showing signs of wear and tear. The beds were on the hard side. ||||The internet connection worked well in most areas of the hotel, but in my room I had to sit by the door to get a strong enough signal. ||||Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of food to suit all tastes. ||||We had opted for the dinner package, I recommend not to despite the good value for money. The food was average and the service staff was quite unpleasant (in contrast to the hotel staff who were all very nice). The restaurant isn't especially cosy either (this is in no way helped by the fact that it's very brightly lit). There are much better restaurants close by.||||There's a good relax area with a bubble pool, a regular pool, two saunas and a...
