I recently stayed at Interski Hotel, and while the property itself is beautiful, my overall experience was highly disappointing due to poor service by the owner and very poor food.
The Good:
Let’s start with the positives. The hotel itself is lovely—a small, charming place with amazing facilities and incredible views. The location is fantastic, and they offer a shuttle service with a super nice driver, which was a great convenience. Our room was quite large and comfortable, as we booked the last available option.
The Bad:
Now, the downside—which, unfortunately, outweighs the good. The food was an absolute joke. 2 peaces of potatos and 1 papryka as a side dish is a joke. We ended up eating outside every single day because the quality of the meals was so poor. The most ridiculous part? You have to order your meals in the morning—if you don’t, you simply cannot eat. I have traveled to over 90 countries with my kids, and I have never heard anything as absurd as “Sorry, we can’t help you today, you have to eat outside.” For a hotel that charges 800 euros per night, this is completely unacceptable.
The owner tries, but he clearly doesn’t understand good customer service. His personality just doesn’t fit the hospitality industry, and it shows. There is no flexibility, no willingness to accommodate guests, and no sense of making people feel welcome.
Another example: Despite their shuttle service being a nice perk, when I called for a pickup just 300 meters away, I was told, “Sorry, we can’t pick you up from there.” Again, for 8500 euros for an 8-night stay, these kinds of restrictions and lack of basic service are unacceptable.
Final Thoughts:
Interski Hotel has the potential to be an excellent hotel, but it is held back by bad food, poor service, and an owner who does not understand hospitality. If you’re looking for a place with great facilities and a stunning location, you might still enjoy your stay—but be prepared to eat elsewhere and not expect much in terms of customer care.
Would I return? Not at this price...and not for that food. but i would like to add that the stuff in the...
Read moreAt the suggestion of friends who stayed at Hotel Interski a few years ago, we stayed there for a week in early February and loved it. The hotel is beautiful and our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious with amazing views of the mountains. Lucas and his staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We loved having our meals there every night. Super convenient and great variety of meal choices. There was plenty of great food and a fabulous wine list. There's a great area in the basement to keep your ski stuff, and a shuttle to take you to the slopes each morning. You can also get picked up starting at 3:30 in the afternoon. Hotel Interski is a very short drive to two different gondolas. Your stay comes with a bus ticket, so you can use it to get around. There's also plenty of parking either outside or inside in a covered garage. We enjoyed the hot tub and indoor/outdoor infinity pool after skiing. There's also a sauna we didn't get to. The hotel is a very short walk to groceries and some dining and shopping. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return some day. The skiing was among the best we've ever...
Read moreWe recently stayed at Hotel Interski for a ski vacation and we couldn’t have been happier. Lukas and his staff are excellent and always warm and accommodating. The hotel is newly appointed with a roomy and pleasant dining and bar area, and the spa and pool are fantastic after a long day on the mountain. The food is quite good and after big lunches everyday on the mountain it was nice to relax at the hotel and not worry about finding a restaurant for dinner.|Shuttle service to the lifts was easy, and the town bus stops at the foot of the driveway. |One of the highlights of our trip was the guide sevice that was included in our stay . Giorgio is a wonderful guide, lots of fun, and knows all the good mountain huts where we had incredible meals. He brought us on some great adventures, and it was fun getting to know some of the other quests. He also runs the Hotel rental shop which couldn’t be more convenient. Excellent high end Nordica ski equipment. I’m pretty picky about my skis and I have to say this service is excellent. |Thank you, Hotel Interski. We’ll be...
