Booking: On Hotels.com, it states that check-in starts at 16:30 and ends at "any time." We adjusted our plans accordingly as I had read previous comments indicating there is no reception. I didn’t want to risk being stranded. I believe they should clarify the check-in hours more explicitly.
Price: Reasonable.
Location: The hotel is elevated, but this is not an issue if you are driving. We wanted to stay in Ortisei but it was overpriced. Staying in this town is more reasonable and only a 10-minute drive to Ortisei.
Security: On our check-out date at 8:30 AM, I was in the bathroom next to our main door when I heard sounds indicating someone was trying to access our room. The door slowly opened, and when I asked who it was, the person quickly shut the door. I opened it immediately to find a lady who apologized and left without explaining if she was staff. While we were checking out, we didn’t mind too much but this needs to be addressed. For general practice as a housekeeper: They should knock and announce themselves loudly to alert guests inside. I’m unsure why the lady came at 8:30 AM, as it would make more sense to come after check-out time even if it was a mistake.
Service: There is no direct service; it’s a self-check-in system using a machine. Please check your email or WhatsApp for check-in instructions and the parking lot code to avoid being clueless when you get there.
When we arrived, we pressed a button to call for building door access. Maria answered but quickly hung up after saying she had opened the door. However, it remained closed. We called back to inform her and she said she had already pressed the button three times before hanging up again. We found her response quite rude, we wouldn’t have called if the door had been open.
The hotel did provide us with a souvenir cup, but since we were traveling light, we couldn’t take it with us.
Cleanliness: The room was clean and well-equipped for showers. Water pressure was good.
View: We had a balcony with a nice view.
WiFi: The WiFi name differs from what’s indicated in the lobby. There are only two WiFi options, and we managed to connect using the password from a different hotspot. They should update the lobby information to avoid confusion. The speed was average which is acceptable given the location in the Dolomites.
Parking: The hotel offers free parking, but it is somewhat narrow. Many spots are designed for two cars next to each other, which may not be feasible for two SUVs. Fortunately, since we visited during the off-peak season, parking was manageable. However, if you visit during peak times, be considerate and park closely against the wall to make room for others.
Accessibility: Some rooms are not accessible by elevator. If you are elderly, traveling with heavy luggage, a stroller, or a wheelchair, please request an accessible room in advance. We traveled light, but there was noise from other guests moving luggage up and down the stairs, which was a bit annoying.
Kitchen: The apartment includes a kitchen and a large fridge, allowing you to cook and save money instead of eating out.
Reminder: Check your email or WhatsApp for check-in instructions and the parking code before arrival!
Overall: If you are looking for an affordable, clean place close to Ortisei, this hotel is suitable. However, if you prefer reliable hotel staff and customer service, this may not be the right...
Read moreI have stayed there with my family, for a week. In the first night we stayed at the last floor. Big room, dark, and very cold. There was only one heater, insufficient for such a large room. At 23.00 the heating in the building is shut down (we didnt know that from the start, when we made the reservation). It happened every night. During the night the temperature came to 16-17 degrees Celsius. The Whatsapp communication is just a simple way for them to answer when and if they want. At 01.00 or 02.00 after dozens of messages they brought two blankets, even if I asked for an electric heater and explicitly told them that my wife and daughter we're sick. It was a nightmare, and I didnt sleep all night. The manager called in the morning and gave another room, much warmer and with much more natural light, not beeing so impressed about our experience, leading me to the conclusion that they knew about the situation of that room. The heating in the room was working but there was only one heater. In comparison the room in which we moved, had 3 or 4 and was smaller. They changed the towels only once in 7 days, and no sheet change in the same period. No reception is the worst thing can happen, never before. You wait for who knows who to answer if they can/want. As a compensation they gave me and my family acces to the sauna in their hotel which is in the next town, which is easy to believe that I refused because it wasnt in the location. The parking spaces are not enough, because even if they are marked as being double, two cars wont fit there. They dont tell you that when you make the reservation. The view is nice but with the other downsides it didnt even matter. Worst customer care ever. I would recommend this location only to the autorithies, and perhaps they wont fool...
Read moreThis place barely qualifies as a hotel—it was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. From check-in, the self-service machine didn’t work properly, and there wasn’t a single staff member to greet guests. It’s like the owners designed everything for their own convenience, not the guests’. They charge €5 just to change towels. No room cleaning at all. Provided 1 shampoo in small sample size bottle for 3 guests, 3nights, will it be enough? I don’t think so. Don’t believe them when they say there’s a washing machine. There’s only one, and it’s always in use by someone else—basically impossible to use. I stayed on the third floor and was shocked to find there’s no elevator. I had to go up and down multiple times just to try and use the washing machine in the basement. It was incredibly frustrating. And the worst part? The so-called laundry room is tucked away in a dark corner of the underground parking lot. It’s dimly lit and honestly feels scary.
Absolutely do not...
