City Hotel Senigallia — Hotel in Senigallia

My wife and I stayed for the first two weeks of August 2022. The bed was extremely comfortable despite the room being quite small but workable. The bathroom however was extremely small and difficult to move about. Housekeeping was excellent and reception and restaurant staff were very professional and helpful. The downside of staying at this hotel and for us it was a major concern was the level of external noise throughout the night. Basically there was a bar next door set back from the main road and in front of this bar was a large paved area which was unused during the day but which at night became a meeting point for dozens and dozens of people who spent the night from about midnight until the early hours (04:00) playing a large sound system and screaming and shouting and preventing the hotel residents from sleeping. This was not an isolated incident and occurred several times during our stay culminating in four consecutive nights of this behaviour up to our last night which left us exhausted for travelling. When questioned, the reception staff apologised but said there was nothing they could do about the noise. As such, we could never risk staying at this hotel again and would caution others to be certain that they were not going to suffer this dreadful noise and sleep...

My overall experience was disastrous, if it was a 2 star it would have been ok, paying 4 star price for this hotel is beggar belief. The room was extremely small, not very clean, bathroom was tiny but ok except for the shower head which was covered in limescale, toiletries almost non existent, frigo bar was pretty much empty except for water, coke and juices, the staff wasn't very friendly.||went for a drink in the bar in the afternoon and was unattended i had to go to reception and the receptionist came up to serve me, breakfast was served until 10:30, got there at 9:55 and the waitress was clearing up, she didn't even aknoledge my presence so i asked her if i was still on time and she said that if i wanted to she could put some food out again for me, then again when i looked at the selection, which was made of tired slices of cheese and salami and few dried cakes i opted to go out and get my own breakfast elsewhere. Almost impossible to sleep, there are people in the street shouting and partying until early morning everynight. The decor is dated, i felt like i wasstuck in a bad dream in the 70s. I would never go back, this hotel is most definitely not a 4 star, paying 4 star rates for it is absolutely...

I would rate this as a minus 3 star hotel not 4. The room is good and the location is great. It was noisy but there's nothing they can do about that- after all the location has to have its compromises. Staff is fine although they could be a bit more friendly. The breakfast- very very poor for a 4 star hotel. Not good at all. I read the other review and even this has been raised 10 years ago, still, the managment has done nothing to improve this. I also asked for an iron on first evening and was told that they couldn't provide one at that time of the day. Instead i was told to request the iron early in the morning when the housekeeper is here. What is this??? Every hotel provides iron at anytime but not this one apparently. I needed to go out and couldn't iron my clothes-a real disappointment. Is not a cheap hotel and definitely should be able to provide this at anytime. Sorry but not very happy...
