😊: Regular room with regular bathroom. Close to the center, but far from train station and from parking with free places. Private parking for 35€/day (unreasonable) not so far. 😢: The info and attention of the staff. In the instructions sent when booking (in my case weeks before going) it is true that they say to enter "solo" by ZTL San Domenico with one word. When we went I wasn't aware of the detail and google maps sent me to enter through a different ZTL despite having San Domenico as intermediate stop, so I'll get a fine for 2 minutes into the ZTL. I explained I had entered thinking that it could be done through any door (my mistake), they told me they could guarantee nothing, that they would try their best but that it was not in their hands. Sounds good but 5 days later ZTL of Siena confirms me they had not registered my license plate in the system. Clearly they told me what I wanted to hear to get rid of me. Despite this, I suggested them that it'd be clearer if they share a map of the ZTL, mark streets to avoid to prevent crossing other ZTL gates (useful info for foreigners), repeat indications a couple of days before (for the important details) and emphasize more effusively and clearly that the other ZTL gates are not valid or authorized and that you can enter only and exclusively through San Domenico.
It is really a joke that the very same day we arrived they warned us that maybe we couldn't enter with the car to the hotel because of an “unforeseen” and “extraordinary” party with at least 12 vans and people riding on 2 donkeys around Piazza del Campo. They didn't want to warn us during the cancellation period to prevent us from changing to another place.
My advice if you go by car, take a room outside the ZTL, leave luggage and walk 10 minutes to the center.
The fridge did not cool (bad for medicines or any little piece of food you may take with you), and bathroom had no odor outlet.
Anyway, I'm kind of bummed that now they can say whatever and I can't reply later, so they've a free hand to say I'm wrong or lying and that they were very clear. But I needed to warn...
Read moreMarvelous place with amazing host and fantastic location in the heart of historical centre of Siena - just one minute from Piazza Del Campo and 10 minutes from Duomo. A good value in the center of everything in the city. Modern, minimalist style furnished B&B. Spacious and bright new. Big rooms and bathrooms. Spotlessly clean. Incredible service and staff. They were more than helpful. Nice breakfast. You could leave your luggage after check out time for couple of hours. They offer you an incredible service if you come by car. It spares you the difficulty to drive through the city center, which is a restricted area and also a nightmare because of the narrow one-way streets. They give you the address of a garage outside the city center. You go there and their own driver drives you to the B&B. The car valet service collects the car directly at the structure after you have unloaded your luggage and brings it back on the day of check-out at the requested time, keeping the car in a covered and guarded garage, for 25 Euros a day. We have been told that this was the only hotel which offers such service. This is just great :) ||Thank you for everything, Elisabetta Cincotti ! Would definitely stay here when...
Read moreWe liked this very small (~4 rooms?) place because of the good location, friendly and helpful staff, good sound isolation towards the street, decent wifi, quiet and efficient air conditioning and the very nice and clean rooms in general.||There are however some things that can be improved - the breakfast (did look that special) seemed overpriced at €10 / person, the walls could use some paint where the guests put their luggage, wifi could be faster, and we did not find a single International (i.e. non Italian speaking) TV channel (A waste of the nice flat screen TV to not be able to enjoy any programs).||The bathroom in our room had a strange solution for the plumbing that made toilet uncomfortable as your feet are to high (see picture).||All in all a very nice place and if we return to Sienna we may wery well stay...
