From the start, we had very quick and helpful responses to emails (Nina's English is perfect, and she also speaks Italian, French and Norwegian) - communication was excellent.||||My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights, but would have loved to stay MUCH longer! ||||Bed and ex is in a great position for visiting many of Turin's excellent places of interest. It is a 10 minute walk from the fantastic Museum of Cinema, 5 minutes' walk from the beautiful Piazza Castello with it's lovely restaurants and ice-cream shops, from which leads one of the main shopping streets (Via Po and then Via Garibaldi). Not far from the Egyptian museum and numerous beautiful piazzas, all worth a visit. We took our car, but left it in an underground, reasonably priced car park for the duration of our stay as it was easy to walk everywhere.||Bed and Ex is much more than just a B&B - more a small private apartment which is beautifully decorated (the owners used to be antique dealers) with great taste to provide extremely comfortable and home-from-home feel. There is a very spacious lounge with a sofa and 2 armchairs, a lovely table with 2 antique chairs to sit for breakfast, a bookshelf stocked with books in English, Italian, French and Norwegian, plus travel guides, local information and language dictionaries. There is also a kitchenette (ultra clean) with a marble worktop, Nespresso machine and kettle, fridge and microwave, plus all the crockery you might need. The bathroom is perfect - beautifully maintained and very clean. ||The bedroom has a very comfortable bed with gorgeously soft linen - we slept really well. The street outside was very quiet - we didn't notice any noises at all and we live in a tiny quiet village at home! The air conditioning is a huge plus - especially when we went in August! Nina, the owner, also gave us an extra fan as temperatures were soaring! We stayed cool and comfortable despite the heat. ||The attention to detail and plentiful little extras make you feel really special - the beautiful basket of delicious warm pastries, a selection of breads and freshly-squeezed orange juice with linen napkins and a freshly picked flower delivered outside the door every morning (you can request delivery time and your special preferences for breakfast too); the fresh roses in the bathroom; the bowl of fresh fruit; the extremely well-stocked kitchen (complete with rice cakes, biscottes, jams, yoghurts, a selection of Nespresso coffees - delicious! - fresh milk, a selection of teas, bottled water....).||Best of all were Nina and her family who are the perfect hosts. Their hospitality is second to none - welcoming, friendly, helpful and generous - they really couldn't have been kinder and we felt very spoilt!||Bed and Ex is truly a little jewel and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in...

We were in Turin to attend a wedding and were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful city. Nina's apartment (officially name Bed and Ex http://www.bedandex.it) was the perfact place to stay in the city center. ||||The apartment is very centrally located in a residential neighborhood and only a few blocks from Piazza Vittorio, from which is a 15-minute stroll in the porticcoed Via Po to Piazza Castello, the main piazza/shopping district in Turin. We were able to find street parking with no problem and Nina taught us how to buy parking vouchers from the tobbaco shop downstairs so we could leave the car there all day.||||The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a 19th century building with private entrance. It is very spacious and consists of a bedroom, living room with kichenette and bathroom. The apartment is quite tastefully decorated. There is even an old painted ceiling in the living room. The bathroom is newly renovated and very nice. We also slept really well in the comfortable bed.||||The best part of our stay was Nina's hospitality. She is such a gracious host and welcomed us with biscuits and fruits as well as information about Turin when we arrived. She speaks perfect English since she studied in the US and was very easy to talk to. We enjoyed chatting with her and learning about Turin. She and her family live in the apartment across the hall and were extremly nice and accessible.||||The breakfast was great with fresh baked pastries and rolls, fresh orange juice, several jams, yogurts and DIY coffees from her Nespresso machine.||||We loved our stay in this B&B and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends. Thank you Nina for your warm hospitality and we hope to come back soon!||||**||Other amenities that really made this place comfortable:||-airconditioning (really appreciate it since it was very hot when we visited)||-free wifi Internet||-high quality linen and sheets||-fresh flowers in bedroom, livingroom and bathroom||-quality soap and shampoo ||-kitchennette with sink, Nespresso machine, fridge, microwave, culteries, plates, etc.||-fridge stocked with some bottle waters and beers. There were also yogurts and milk...

Turin was our first stop on a 2 week road trip round northern Italy and it turned out to be the stop that we rated all other accommodation against. ||||This is a great place to stay. Effectively, you get your own apartment with bedroom, spacious lounge, kitchenette and lovely bathroom. Nina, your hostess, lives across the hallway with her family and pets. ||||It's centrally-located on the 2nd floor of an airy building next to a bank. From the moment we got there we couldn't have felt more welcome. Nina speaks perfect English and recommended and booked restaurants for us, pointed out various places for drinks etc on her maps and organised our parking in a local garage for us. ||||The apartment itself is nicely decorated with a frescoed ceiling and lots of attention to detail - from the fresh-cut roses to the bathroom toiletries to the couple of on the house beers in the fridge, petits fours and fruit in the lounge. The bed was very comfy. Wi-fi is available.||||The breakfast was delicious. There were yoghurts, milk, jams, cheese etc left for us in the fridge and Nina dropped off a basket of freshly-squeezed juice, warm pastries and bread at a time of our choosing every morning. Coffee was made in the cool Nespresso machine - I really want one now! - and there were all sorts of teas available. ||||The one thing I'd flag up is that the apartment is in a residential neighbourhood and the street outside can be quite noisy with traffic and a tram running along it. There is no double-glazing, in keeping with the building I guess and because it must get too hot for it. It's fine in the day of course but if you're a light sleeper like me, take your earplugs and you should be OK.||||That said, we genuinely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I can't think of many places I'd say that about. It was the best value for money accommodation of our whole trip I think considering the nice little extras you got, the lovely breakfast, pretty surroundings and care shown by Nina.||||Turin is a lovely city. We had some great food (thanks Nina!), fully involved ourselves in the aperitivo culture and enjoyed wandering around checking things out. Just wish we'd given ourselves a little...
