This place is 2 minutes walk from the Giardini location of the Biennale (the reason for our visit to Venice) and about 4 minutes from the Arsenale location.||It is 2 or 3 minutes walk away from the Giardini vaporetto stop....but if you are coming direct from Marco Polo airport you should go to the Arsenale stop on the Alilaguna which doesn't stop at Giardini.||Also make sure you know the location as there are other places with similar names.||You should get a whatsapp message telling you how to get there and the code number for the outer door....there is no one normally in attendance and your room key will be on a side table just inside the door.||It is reasonably priced - we paid around 120 euros per night for our room and breakfast - this includes the city tourist tax and wi fi BUT the wifi only seems to work in the reception/breakfast area.||Breakfast is tinned fruit salad, youghurt, rolls butter and jam and very good coffee made for you by the breakfast server who is lovely - very friendly and helpful but she has limited english.||The place is around a 20 minute stroll from St Marks if you feel the need to go there.||Trattoria Tosi is just around the corner - great pizza and beer and reasonably priced.||There is also a canal side restaurant round the other corner.||We will definitely make this our preferred base for future Biennale visits - good price, good location. Room small but clean and that's the main thing - everything worked - air con and hot water etc. No views though!!! Overall? Pleased with our...

A few minutes later a lady came in who was the cleaner and said she needed another 10 minutes. We sat in the hall for half an hour in the end before we finally got into the room.||When we got in we discovered one of the bathroom lights didn’t work and there was no remote control for the air conditioning. We took a nap on the rock hard mattress and woke up covered in mosquito bites, we later noticed 2 of them in the room presumably from where the windows had been left open with the rugs hanging out of them. ||The person I spoke to on WhatsApp the next day was helpful and fixed the light and left the remote for the air conditioning.||The location is great, it’s 5 minutes walk from the Vaporetto stop in a nice neighbourhood. There’s a bar/restaurant at the end of the street that’s nice also. ||Overall if you’re on a really tight budget this could work but otherwise find...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here on the final leg of our honeymoon. It was easy to find as we were sent detailed instructions the night before. It was a 5min walk from the Giardini vaporetto stops and only required 1 bridge crossing (which had no steps).||We were in one of the 3rd floor rooms, which meant we had a sloped ceiling and 3 flights of quite steep stairs to climb in order to reach the room. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant enough room, nicely decorated. It was very warm in there and the airconditioning didn't work, but there was a fan and it was quiet enough that the windows could be left open to let in the cool night air.||The bathroom looked relatively new, but the toilet seat was loose and the shower felt a little bit claustrophobic.||Breakfast was wonderful. There were hot croissants and bread rolls, which were lovely and fresh, a selection of jams, tea, tinned fruit salad, fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt with tea, coffee and juice to drink. The woman who looks after the breakfast was lovely and very helpful. She told us that we could help ourselves to some cereal and yogurt on the day we left, because we would be leaving before she arrived...
