A Hidden Gem in Venice – Authentic Food & Wonderful Hospitality We stumbled upon Trattoria Tosi's by chance while wandering through the old streets of Venice – and what a lucky find it was! Tucked away from the tourist crowds, this place is a true gem. We ordered traditional pasta with mussels and fish, and the food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully cooked. The atmosphere is calm and authentic, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I have food allergies to the nightshade family of plants which includes tomatoes potatoes and all the peppers including red and green peppers hot peppers paprika, but excluding black and white pepper. I speak Italian reasonably well and explain to all this to the waiter in Italian and he made some excellent recommendations. We were here today for dinner, have had some fish and seafood as well as dessert. The food is decent for the price that you pay, however everythingwas delicious. The waiter was very nice and welcoming and capable to give a recommendation in English, but don't expect a written menu in English. The hause wine was ok, and the coffee good.
