Villa Divina is a fantastic choice. We stood at Villa Divina for a week in the begining of August 2017. Villa Divina is large estate on the hill with great views with the main bulding with the pool and several smaller buldings with apartments. It is full of beautiful and diverse greenery. Location is great: very close to beautiful Vietri with very good restaurants, to ports in Salerno for getting around Amalfi coast or to Amalfi drive if your prefer a car or Vespa. We stood in Casa Edera, it has perfect sea view, complete privacy, large terrace, several outdoor seatings. Thumbs up. And at the end of my review i must highlight Roby's hospitality. She was always online, helpful in everything, doing reservations in restaurants for us. We travel a lot and many, many staff members from hotels' front offices around the world should learn how to do hospitality from Roby. This place and these people are highly recommended...
Read moreThe view alone takes your breath away. Best place we have ever stayed in Italy. The rooms are clean, and have airconditioning. They are cleaned twice a week. The staf is very very friendly and Roberta is a very good host who helps out with booking trips and restaurants. Breakfast was very nice. The pool is very unique and also clean. Villa Divina is however not very suitable for disabled people (terraced with a lot of steps). There is no dishwasher (laundry however can be done on a central location).
The Amalfi coast and Vietri is also very extraordinary. However, I would advise to avoid going in August if possible. It was very crowded and de town can be noisy in the evening. There are so many people! The roads are blocked, the beaches are full, Pompei and other sites are overpopulated and if you are not an experienced driver, you would be advised not to drive in the Amalfi and Napoli region. There is a busstop...
Read moreWe stayed for a week with friends (a total of 6 adults and 8 children) across three Villas. We can not recommend Villa Divina more highly. Robi Strianese and her family go out of their way to ensure the most fabulous stay - from delightful breakfasts on the terrace and special dinner events featuring produce from their extensive farm and garden, to the seemingly endless connections of Robi’s throughout the region for the best boats, restaurants and beaches that ensure the most fantastic itinerary. Tucked away in Benincasa (a few good local shops for supplies and an excellent pizzeria), above Vietri sul Mare, you are insulated from the craziness of Amalfi in summer but close enough to get to the thick of it in no time should you choose. Views to die for, amazing limoncello...we can’t...
