This is an experience worth coming back for!
The staff was attentive and was always willing to help even with the language barrier. They used both translation devices and gestures to make sure I had full understanding of what was going on.
I used the clinic's counseling service and the counselor was attentive and had a deep knowledge that allowed me to realize some of the health issues I'd been facing recently could be solved through diet or a change in certain habits rather than getting highly expensive treatments or medication.
The room was comfortable and well stocked. The spa and hot spring were my personal favorite. The massage helped a lot with my tense muscles and the sauna and hot spring in the men's hot spring worked wonders for any remaining tension. I also reserved the private hot springs, and they were well stocked with amenities and the staff provided snacks and drinks. The gym had a good view and quality machines.
The dinner was delicious and there was a good spread in the buffet for breakfast. They are also located near many restaurants and stores, so I was able to explore the city and eat lunch after check-out.
All in all, this is a luxurious and comfortable hotel perfect for both vacations or business trips. It's a good place to relax and eat wonderful and healthy food.
The location is also very convenient, as it is right above the general floors of Aomori Station. This hotel gives you quick access to the train, the bus...

New hotel. Nice, clean facilities. Rooms are small (typical in Japan) but for exploring Aomori City the location could not be better. Note that the elevators are shared with lots of other entities so you’ll have to be patient.
Not stingy. They seem to be sincerely trying to please guests rather than save every dollar/yen. Herbal tea and water are provided in the rooms. There is an included lounge adjacent to the onsens with local apple juice and snacks.
Products and food. As a somewhat “crunchy” vegetarian person, it was refreshing that all the personal care products provided had natural ingredients. The breakfast buffet also had lots of excellent tasty vegan and vegetarian options (mostly western). These things are hard to find in Japan.
Great onsen. Cold plunge and sauna on the men’s side. Oddly, no sauna on the women’s side. Included in the rate.
Excellent staff. Alicia in particular (and her Japanese Brazilian colleague whose name I unfortunately didn’t) were exceptionally professional and kind. They stored our luggage for us after checkout so we could explore before takeoff, provided a bus schedule, and gave us some local tips (e.g. definitely do the ropeway).
One recommendation for the team - add soft pillows. Western brands generally have one soft and one hard pillow per person. Other than that everything was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We...
Read moreRelabo is the epitome of luxury accommodation in Northern Japan and rivaled by no other! The service, food, spa and rooms are second to none. Alicia and Mr Kudo san diverted a negative day for my wife and I into a total highlight of our trip and we can't thank them enough. Relabo goes further than just being accommodation but its an experience, one we never wanted to end. The staff went up and beyond to make our stay perfect and every attention to detail exceeded our expectations. The establishment is modern and very well priced for what it is and in comparison to any other accommodation we have had in Japan. From the organic products found in our room and spa to the locally sourced organic food in the restaurant, nothing was left out. I highly recommend you treat yourself to this experience at Relabo and make it not just a stay but a destination. We will 100% be back asap. Thank you Alicia, Mr Kudo...
