A ship that had been used for many years as a link between Aomori and Hakodate has been reused as a museum. Because it retains its original appearance, the museum's interior is old, and you may feel the ceilings on each floor are low. Not only photos and items of the ship from beginning of service to end of service, but also Materials on relevance such as the situation at that time are exhibited. Unfortunately, most of the commentary in each exhibit is in Japanese only. Furthermore there seems to be no guide in English. Therefore, it may be difficult for tourists from overseas to use it. If the ship is a museum, you'll see rooms, such as the wheelhouse and the noble room, that the general public can not see. On the other hand, the main feature of this museum is the deck for trains. When the ship was in service, the trains used were exhibited. You'll find that this ship was very important to the railway. Although the decks for trains are very large, the height of each exhibits makes it easy for children to get lost. If you are with children,...
