Charcoal-grilled Chicken & Sake "Yamauchi-Nojou" Aomori Station — Restaurant in Aomori

I was concern when the waitress led us to a table near the smoking room. I quickly informed her that I am sensitive to smoke and definitely not sitting close to the smoking room. I was hoping she can show us to a much further area as there are plenty of seats that can accommodate to my request but she just asked us to seat some where abit away from the smoking room and still close enough to smell the smokes whenever the smoker(s) came out. We asked again to move but the furthest was just a seat behind. Was that too much to move to another table furthest from the smoking room where most of the tables were vacant except for a table that was occupied. We thought because it was 2 of us so our choice were limited, the rest of the tables cater for 4 people. Little did we know, an hour later another guy came in, she directed him to a table that can seat 4 people and just a nice spot for me to be away from the smoking room. So my question, why was it so hard to fulfil my small request? It just affected my mood for dinner but we ate since we already started orders but a very bad impression on this restaurant. Very Very poor service. Food was at the pricey end. I will never come back for...

Everything in this Izakaya-style restaurant is poor, very unlike Japanese. They made you feel they only care about your money, but they do not give a damn about their food, the customer experience. We ordered skewers of minced chicken with a dash of plum on top, the skewer arrived and there was no sign of chargrilled, merely cooked (steamed or boiled??). The staff (male in particular) wore a poker face, and when you tried to communicate with them (because we do not speak japanese), they just gave you a blank face!!! No effort to try to understand what you want...... Sigh! Why would anyone want to go to...

Everything in this restaurant tastes either too salty, too bitter or both. Most things looked good in the promotional images and plate presentation but not reflected in the taste. The chicken, the main focus of this restaurant is either too chewy of completely dry and brunt. The store seems to charge you for many small tits and tats including refills for hotpot soup and the cabbage dipped in miso appetizer forced on every customer. It came out feeling like a tourist trap restaurant, out to charge you as much as they can. Would not recommend unless no...
