I recently stayed at the LiVEMAX RESORT Atami Sea Front hotel during my visit to Japan, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, there were several aspects of my stay that left much to be desired.

Firstly, the cleanliness of the hotel room was below the usual standard expected in Japan. The presence of visible damage and an overall worn-out appearance gave the impression of neglect. It was disappointing to find the room in such a state.

Moreover, the hotel did not live up to its original description. The promotional pictures showcased a sauna facility, yet upon arrival, I discovered that there was no sauna available. This inconsistency between the advertised amenities and the actual facilities was misleading and disappointing.

Additionally, the rooftop pool, which appeared inviting in the promotional materials, was devoid of water during my stay. This lack of maintenance further added to the feeling that the hotel was not living up to its promises.

The food provided by the hotel also fell below the expected Japanese standard. The quality and presentation of the meals were disappointing, lacking the attention to detail and flavors that are typically associated with Japanese cuisine.

Lastly, the pricing of the hotel was simply unjustifiable considering the subpar condition and amenities offered. I expected a better experience for the price paid, and I felt that I did not receive good value...

It was our wedding anniversary for the first celebration in Japan. My husband booked here for 2 nights. The location was between Atami station and the next station, walking was bit hike because of the steep road. Need a service shuttle. Front desk were welcomed nicely and smoothly. The room we had had a ocean view and a bath outside. Looked very nice, lots of amenities, water, and surprisingly they put glasses in the fridge! This was the thoughtful if it was summer time. No issues whatsoever until we took shower, shampoo was ok- ish smell but the conditioner was unbelievably stinky,( like wet dog) but I didn't bring any so I used it. Couldn't believe this is well-known brand ; yet, smells so awful. Also curtain was too short to cover when you get in the bath outside. They need to fix the situation. Otherwise it was awesome staying. Breakfast had lots of fresh fruits ( never seem anywhere prepared red and white grapefruit, yeah !!) one thing I noticed was 2nd day they were out of some ice cream flavor though... sad . Personally, we wished they had pancakes or waffles, and oatmeal, then it will be...

First, Breakfast system was terrible. The reason I booked this hotel is that I want to relax. The starting time and ending time of providing breakfast to each group of customers is strictly decided. It is totally different to other hotels. The time we got was 7:45 to 8:15 may be. If you get there at 8:00 Am, you will get 15 minutes to eat your breakfast. Not like start at 6:00 to 9:00. And the breakfast was not delicious at all. Almost everything was cold and tasteless.

Second, I booked sea view room but it was clearly not sea view. What I can see from my window is absolutely a mountain and a building. When I complained about that the staff told me that is the sea view that the meant. Funny!

Only the outdoor bathtub was good.

I will not use that...

At first everything was fine, our room was beautiful and with all the various necessities, the shower and after shower products were amazing on the skin, the bed was really comfy, the private onsen was the cherry on top. That said, I woke up at 7:00 because of the sun, there are no thick curtains and the main window is only shield by a roll-up shatter which still made the light go through, the other window (which is the shower that takes you directly to the onsen on the balcony) had no curtain or shutter at all, making all the light come in. On top of that, we woke up to pidgeons who shat all over the balcony, even on the chairs and table, it was disgusting. Do not recommend this place at all, go somewhere else for private onsen.
