ハレのヒ — Restaurant in Atami

I arrived at Atami Station at about 7:30~8:00 pm, I searched the google map and found that most of the resturant were closed before 8:00 pm. fortunately, I found this resturant and chose it.

It seems like a local resturant or a beer bar. Two ladies work as both chefs and waitresses, they were very friendly and hospitable but they were not good at english. The menu was in Japanese and serves only 10~15 dishes. All the dishes ordered were all delicious, including Garlic shrimp, fried beef patties, fried crab cakes, eggplant ...

If you arrieved at Atami in the night you can have a dinner here, very worthy. The order can only be purchased by credit card and cash.

We visited in early January looking for late night dinner when everything else was closed. They have a smaller menu, but still had a good amount of variety. It’s pretty classic bar food, snacks, fried fish, french fries, etc. The two owners were behind the bar and did their best to explain the specials in english and make conversation. They even gifted us with some pastries as we left! Most bars in japan make great lemon sours, but make sure to get their local citrus sour when it’s in season. Super fresh and delicious.
