Staff-10/10. All the staff we encountered were patient, kind, accommodating, professional, and attentive. We had a few questions when we first arrived, and of course, I didn't think of all the questions all at once. I must have called the front desk 5 times in the first 10 minutes after checking in. The hotel staff was beyond patient with me, and answered all my questions efficiently despite the minor language barrier. They were able to accommodate all of my requests. Thi was a vietnamese staff member that introduced herself to us the second day we were there. We were able to chat with her for a bit, and she made sure that we had everything that we needed. She provided a personal touch to our stay that we truly appreciated. Rooms: 10/10. Clean and tidy. Loved that they had a refrigerator. Bathrooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. My room had a great view of the mountainside where you could see all the steam from the hot springs. My kids' room had an immaculate view of the ocean...albeit from a distance. Location: 9/10. I loved that it was a short walk to most of the "hells" or hot springs. They were walking distance to a cozy bakery and a little izikaya owned by a old couple that was amazing. They had a breakfast and dinner buffet that looked amazing. We did not eat there this trip as we wanted to explore the...
Read moreI just left and already feel compelled to write this review. This place is ridiculous. From the moment we got picked up from Beppu station until we got dropped off again, the hospitality of all staff has simply been amazing. Staff went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay and were completely flexible around our travel requirements. Special shout out to Hoài Thi for helping out. She helped make our stay so memorable. Kousuke san for his food recommendations. The toriten and pudding were amazing. Lastly Abe san who’s patience and friendliness was so welcome after a long days travel. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable with great amenities and the outfits to wear in hotel were super comfortable. We had beautiful mountain views and the location is very close to 7 hells and easily accessible by bus. The onsen was really nice and was never too busy. Water temperature was great and the cold bath was a welcome surprise. Finally the buffet. Specifically the dinner was out of this world. Oita beef, well marbled, cooked exactly how I asked. Best beef tataki I’ve ever had followed by delicious cold nihonshu. Possibly one of the best buffets I’ve ever been to. Staff were really attentive and we never had to wait long for refills. Overall 11/10 and will definitely return...

I had a fantastic stay at this modern Japanese hotel, especially thanks to the incredible dinner experience. The wagyu buffet was absolutely outstanding – the selection was superb, and the quality of the meat was some of the best I've had. It was a true highlight of my visit.
The hotel room itself was impressive, featuring high-quality finishes that added to the overall comfort and style. I also loved the view from the window – you can see the nearby coastal city (Oita), which made for a stunning backdrop, especially at sunset.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious experience with amazing food and...
