This hotel is very basic and lacks many amenities you might expect from a more comfortable stay. For instance, there’s no lift, so if you're not on the first floor, you’ll need to carry your luggage up yourself, which can be a hassle, especially with heavy bags.
While the hotel room was spacious, the mattress was rather light and tended to slide around easily, making it less comfortable. The room also features a large bath tub, but unfortunately, the hotel doesn't provide any bath salts or bath robe, which felt like a missed opportunity for a more relaxing experience. Breakfast is a cold sandwich delivered to your room the night before, which is convenient but not particularly exciting.
The one bright spot of the stay was the friendly receptionist. They were very eager to recommend the best local eateries, which made exploring the area a lot more enjoyable.
Overall, this hotel is functional but doesn't offer much in terms of comfort or amenities. It's fine if you're just looking for a place to sleep, but I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're after a more comfortable or...
Read moreI booked this hotel through Agoda and chose it because it had a deal going on. I will say that I wasn't the most impressed with this. The rooms are spacious--more spacious than you would expect in Japan--and I had no problems with the bedding which almost seemed futon-like. The toilet room and bathing room were both separate which is a nice traditional Japanese feature. However, there seems to be an emphasis on the visitor spending their time visiting the local hot springs as there were no bath salts or bathing robes to use in the room, which was surprising. The hotel itself is also minimally soundproof, and we easily heard our neighbors throughout the night. Also, we were on the first floor (thankfully) but there seemed to be no elevator to haul luggage if you are on the second floor. Customer service was both a strong and weak point. Positives include: recommending hot springs to go to and delivering pre-packaged sandwiches for breakfast. Points to improve include: aforementioned...
Read moreHighly recommended if you are driving. Not much amenities or transport around this hotel hence driving is recommended. Parking is free and there’s many lots. Location of hotel is just a short 1-3min drive to Beppu hells.
One of the larger hotel rooms I have stayed in Kyushu. Rooms were clean and modern. There is a balcony and projector in the room. Includes a simple breakfast - sandwich and side. Tea bags and filter coffee provided in the room too. No card keys as the door locks are electronic with PIN codes.
Note that there is no lift but the staff were very helpful in bringing our luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel only has 2 levels. No cash accepted.
Receptionist can speak Chinese, not...
