We ate here the first night we arrived in Beppu just as a cyclone was headed our way. We were staying across the road and pretty much got saturated getting there and back to hotel in the wind and the rain but the staff looked after us and helped us to get dry. We went with the bigger buffet selection - delicious! You WILL NOT go hungry - we are all big eaters and we left food behind. Out of our group of four I like particularly extra super spicy hot and asked for that plus for some extra chilli. They brought me some what I think was Kashmiri chilli powder which had some kick to help the curry give me some more spice - then the manager brought me a chilli chutney which was next level hot - it was magnificent. Totally recommend this place. Good selection of drinks too (both soft and alcohol) and very reasonably priced. Great change if you don’t feel like Japanese every single day of your trip. We might just make one more visit back there before we head out...
Read moreAbsolutely lovely place. They keep it really clean and are so helpful. Their English is really good here so if you feel awkward about ordering in Japan, this place will be a breeze. They have a huge selection of naan on their buffet and all of that is popping. The potato cheese naan is the worse. The spinach naan is great by itself. The coconut naan should be eaten with another entree. Their rice is meh tho, I wouldn't get it. The lo mein is also meh but it's really fun to eat lo mein with Indian food so big ups for me on that. The hottest spice level is about 1/2 a Thai chili pepper. The tandoori chicken is good but the kebab is a tad dry. They're really quick with bringing out the orders as you ask for them though. The chicken curry is better than the keema curry. Both are excellent though. They have a soda machine with a huge selection of options. The green one isn't that enjoyable but the orange is. Coffee and tea is...
Read moreThey have some of the best naans and curries I've ever had ever (most especially their cheese naan paired with any of their curries). Everything is unlimited. The sides and the drinks are in a buffet table while the naans and curries are made to order which make them even better especially for a buffet!
The staff are very welcoming. It feels like they're happy to see customers in a foreign land loving their cuisine. I mean, who wouldn't if they're that good.
And lastly, the price: for a buffet and the quality of what they're offering, the word "reasonable" is not enough to give justice to this gem. I want to say "cheap" but only in reference to the price and definitely not the food and...
