I had the pleasure of dining at Teppan Okonomiyaki Masaya, and it was an unforgettable experience! The omu yakisoba was absolutely delicious, with a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The okonomiyaki with rice cake and cheese was a unique and delightful dish, and the chicken steak was cooked to perfection. All the portions were generous, ensuring we left feeling very satisfied.
The atmosphere was made even better by the friendly and welcoming boss and staff members. Both the boss and the co-chef spoke excellent English and were very attentive, making sure we enjoyed our meal. It was great to have friendly conversations with the locals, adding a personal touch to our visit.
When asked which dish was our favorite, my husband and I couldn't decide because everything was so good. However, if we had to choose, the omu yakisoba stood out as our top pick!
If you're in the area and looking for a fantastic meal with great company, Teppan Okonomiyaki Masaya is the place to go. Highly...
Read moreFantastic!! Would highly recommend.
We went for the okonomiyaki and were not disappointed! They were almost fully booked and they said we lucked out on getting a spot! (Make a reservation! Can be done on the same day.)
We sat at the bar and were fully entertained by the food being cooked in front of us and the wonderful, friendly staff who encouraged us to ask questions.
We tried 3 different kinds of okonomiyaki and gyoza - all were so tasty, and very filling. Made from scratch right in front of us.
Other dishes being made also looked amazing, including a giant, thick flamed pork chop meal (not on the menu - ask for it!), Japanese omelette with curry, yakisoba…big portions too.
They all spoke fantastic English, which was unexpected and really lovely, and were super friendly. The restaurant was full of English-speaking tourists, but the food wasn’t what you might expect from a “touristy” place - it...
Read moreProbably my favourite dining experience in Japan! I ordered the Ghengis Kahn noodles (lamb noodle dish) and it was insanely delicious! Big portion too. Our table split some edamame and the corn butter dish - not a big portion but for only 500¥ it was definitely worth it for the flavour. Got vanilla ice cream to end it off and it was rich, creamy, not too sweet; just really the best soft serve I’ve ever had. Tastes nothing like the cows we have in Canada. Our server, Olivia, was so kind and funny. She really made our experience special. The entire kitchen staff were lovely & helpful to accommodate our vegetarian friend. The theatrics in the kitchen make the bar seats a coveted spot. Was so excited to write this review because it was a great spot & you should eat there too. Reserve ahead as they have limited space & are...
