I'm in love with this hotel! As soon as you walk into the lobby, you're greeted with a panoramic ocean view. The staff spoke minimal English, but enough to explain check in/out procedures, as well as give directions to the airport bus the next morning. ||My room was huge- had two twin beds on an elevated platform above the floor, as well as a sitting area with couch, chair and vanity/desk. I had a wonderful view of the ocean, through windows that opened so I could also hear the waves crash. The bed was extremely comfortable and overall my room was very serene. My only complaint would be that I requested a non smoking room, but my room still smelled of smoke.||The onsen here is possibly the best one I've ever been to, out of 20+ all over Japan. The indoor and outdoor baths on the 8th floor have an indescribable view of the sea. The indoor onsen on the 1st floor has seen better days though; I recommend avoiding it entirely and just using the one on the 8th floor. The floor felt a bit slimy (so unusual for Japanese onsens, which usually feel extremely clean), and it seemed there were at one point, a few other pools/features that had been broken and neglected for some time.||I ate dinner and breakfast on property, both of which were pretty good. Dinner featured sashimi and crab legs, but what I really enjoyed were the traditional Japanese dishes like nikujaga (like Japanese pot roast), jingisukan (grilled lamb), and a make your own chirashi (seafood bowl) station.||Even after only staying one night, I left feeling very relaxed. Definitely would...
Read moreExcellent view from the rooms! nice decent size rooms although the bathroom was rather tiny but usable. The staff were excellent :) made us feel very welcome! They have a kids room with video games, common areas with free WiFi. My only downside would be...we only stayed 2 nights it should have been longer! The room was very clean and spacious. We had included breakfast and dinner with our booking which was OK plenty to choose from just nothing I could go back for again as some of the choices were cold but looked like they were supposed to be a warm dish.||There was also a supermarket about 10 min walk. The futon beds were comfy the doonas were so snuggly and we slept with the windows open to hear the ocean waves roll in even though...
Read moreOne of my favourite hotels I have stayed at during my trip to Hokkaido this winter. I love the sea view and that there's a cute lil door near the front desk that leads right out to the beach side.
I stayed in the tatami room. It was quite comfy and the different parts of the room were segregated by different flooring instead of steps. The toilet and shower are separated as well. There is a humidifier in the room and you can adjust the Aircon on your own as well. The front desk was helpful when I needed help in refilling the water for the humidifier.
There's also a souvenir shop at level 1, as well as a children playing area.
This hotel is also right next to the botanical gardens where you can walk over and see monkeys skinny...
