Best ramen in Hakodate! I always order the ちゃっちゃしょゆうブランク ramen which is this thick soy sauce based ramen with chargrilled pork slices that's super super good. Noodles are super chewy just the way I like it, the soup is thick and flavorful- and the pork and egg are superb. Perfect with a side order of gyoza. Their pork rice bowl also looks good, although I've never tried it 😅 It looks like it's got the nice bbqd pork they put in their ramen so I'd like to try that next time. The staff did a good job in managing the line by giving us menus and taking our orders before we had our tables. They were also very efficient at clearing the tables once diners were done eating. I had the plain shio ramen while my husband and daughter had the spicy dan dan noodles. Food was excellent. The ramen was delicious - there is something just a little different (in a good way) about the broth. Maybe a little butter? Or maybe they do something with the chashu?
The gyoza was the best we had in Japan. They go all in on the crunch on one side and soft on the other.
